Hello, this is just a reminder that the Zelda Classic homepage and downloads is still no longer listed as an affiliate link even though it has been listed there since purezc's inception. Why was this removed again?
Speaking more as someone deeply invested in the program, how about proving that you are still the "official" developers of ZC first before you come barking orders at us? You've done an utterly terrible job at proving that you should be taken seriously at all. All you've done is stirred trouble, doubled down on objectively poor behaviour and undermined the whole userbase with your personal beliefs that have no business being in this discourse. Your version of ZC has to be sublime in comparison to 2.55 and the upcoming 3.0 because you certainly aren't going to win the userbase over with your lack of charisma and people skills.
Maybe it's time to prioritize the development of your ZC instead of letting a fan site live so rent free in your head because it's missing an affiliate link to an outdated website complete with an unusable forum on life support. The userbase are ultimately the ones that will decide which ZC is worth using and recognize as "official" and so far the answer seems clear to everyone. Yes, it's important to acknowledge the origins of ZC tracing back to AGN, and we've amended that in the About page. But put simply, AGN is a thing of the past and there's objectively more use to linking Spriters Resource and VGMusic over a dead website with a version of ZC that seems to be in shambles.
No one actually cares about what the "official" version is. We just want to make quests in peace. Leave us alone and go do your thing already.
