Now then, you're probably wondering: "NEXAS, WHAT ABOUT THE SACRED STONES LET'S PLAY?!"

 

Well, sadly, I came to the conclusion that the LP style I used for Sacred Stones is just a bad set-up for me, thus, I'm going to cancel that, and save the Sacred Stones LP for later. This time around, I'll be doing a screenshot Let's Play, what of, you ask?

 

ANOTHER FE GAME, OF COURSE.

 

"Fire Emblem, released in Japan as Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken (ファイアーエムブレム 烈火の剣, Lit. "Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword" and also known as "Fire Emblem: The Sword of Flame", according to the Fire Emblem Museum [1]), is a Japanese tactical role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. The game was released on April 25, 2003 in Japan, November 3, 2003 in North America, and July 16, 2004 in Europe."

 

That said, I'm going to be doing something very different. Today, I'll be doing a Fire Emblem Randomizer Run. What is a Randomizer Run you ask? Well, basically, it takes every unit in the game, and randomizes their classes. Well, every PLAYABLE unit, anyways. There are a few exceptions, which I'll go over later. There's also one more thing that the Super Randomizer Run does that's even more hilarious, but for now, let us begin.

 

I'll be immediately starting on Chapter 11, because the 1st 10 chapters are tutorial chapters. I'll be playing Eliwood's story, as well.

 

NOTE: This playthrough, at least at first, was originally called Fire Emblem 7: Chaos Run, but changed to "Super Randomizer Run!" due to similarities to another romhack called Fire Emblem 7: Chaos Mode.

 

Chapter 11, Part 1

Unneeded Tactician Data is unneeded.

 

Our starting units. I see a Sniper among us.

 

Glad to see Eliwood's still a terrible unit.

Immediately a thief. Not bad, I could use a speedy unit, after Lowen wrecked my hope.

That's right! Here's the suprise feature of Chaos Run, every single weapon in the game has randomized stats, including uses. This is going to make things very interesting, indeed. Now, let's see what the Brigand has.

 

I'm dead.

 

Marcus has a 1 Ranged Short Bow, now.

 

Damn you, chip damage failures.

Rebecca is getting used for this.

 

A look at Rebecca's new palette. The sword's a little weird, but otherwise, it works.

 

Gotta be cautious of this asshole.

 

This next turn, we get 2 new units. A Brigand, and a Shaman, nice! Brigands aren't normally playable.

 

A Shaman with plenty of Con, that's not too bad, actually!

 

omfg, this is the best thing ever.

 

Oh neat, another Axe user. This one promotes to a Berzerker though, so he's infinitely better than Eliwood.

Shame too, he comes with a Devil Axe, and we all know how bad those are. Speaking of that....

CONTINUING FROM EMBARRASSMENT:

 

Chapter 11, Part 2

 

OH, RNG, YOU TEMPT ME SO~

 

Eliwood also comes with one, so I now have 2 Axes that murder the wielder. okay....

 

Meanwhile, this bow user over here.

 

What is it with this game and the insanely high crit weapons.

 

I vote Dorcas for first benchwarmer.

 

All that diarrhea on his robe would warm the benches nicely.

 

...WAIT WHAT. So, even though I didn't show that attack, Dorcas still killed the Archer. I could've sworn he didn't crit either. That's just weird.

 

No.

 

No? Eh, I'll attack, and see what happens.

 

Oh hey, it's the first perfect palette we've come across...and Bartre doesn't crit, so there's no use screencapping the fight.

 

Rebecca finished him off.

 

Like Rebecca, Marcus doesn't look too bad as a Sniper.

 

And he crits, and I miss it, dang. ;~;

 

Dorcas attacked another bandit, but doesn't kill him, I guess he did crit him last time.

 

Marcus gets ambushed by 2 OP Bandits aaaaand...

Marcus has lost his status as Oifey*.

 

Note*: An Oifey = a unit who is already promoted, comes in the beginning, and is useful for the entire game. Not to be confused with Jeigens, which share a similar role, minus being useful for the entire game.

 

So here's a predicament, I need to get to that shop, and buy a few Iron Axes for Bartre and Eliwood, problem is, If Eliwood takes one more step, hell be targetted by that Brigand, which Marcus can't tank, due to 4 HP. I'll need to send in the next best thing...Lowen. :3

 

Meanwhile, forgot to visit this village.

 

Neato Poteto.

 

Iron Swords are the new Steel swords. Not using most of them, since Rebecca made them unimportant.

 

Now both Eliwood and Bartre stand a chance.

 

Kawaii Lowen is Kawaii.

 

Dorcas eats the soul of yet another victim.

 

Bartre with Iron Axe is best Bartre.

 

We get a first look at Eliwood's gross Glowing palette. He did Crit though, so that's cool.

 

Do you thing, Dorcas.

 

 

Damn you, Dorcas!

 

Bought one more Iron Axe, and a Flux Tome for Dorcas. Time for Rebecca to finish off the boss.

Off to a "great" start.

 

Bought a fire tome, another Flux tome, and a vulnurary, and ended off the chapter there.

 

Well, that's chapter 11, tell me what you guys think of this so far, and if there's anything I should do to make this better.

You know what's great about Screenshot LPs? They're much easier to manage than normal LPs.

 

Chapter 12, Part 1

Honestly, I consider Chapter 12 to be a lot shorter than Chapter 11, since that chapter existed to get players eased into the game.

 

That said, the Map is certainly bigger.

 

I reorganized my inventory a bit, and had Rebecca head to the village up north.

 

Lowen may have gotten a crit, but that's not important right now, look at her sexy new palette!

 

That's right, me, and a few of my friends at another forum I go to, decided to hack the game, and add real palettes for each of the units as they join the army. Lowen's is by far my personal favorite, but the rest are still great.

 

Attacking this bandit as an excuse to show off Dorcas's new palette.

 

And Dorcas leveled up!

 

This is gonna become a trend, isn't it?

 

Rebecca getting a secret book from that village. For those who don't play FE, this raises Skill. The Draco Shield from earlier raises Defence, and Dorcas actually comes with an Energy Ring, which increases Str or Mag, depending on the unit type.

 

Gotta stock up on Thunders for my new Waifu, Lowen.

 

Rebecca got ambushed by a soldier offscreen.

That's so weak, it makes the crit not look threatening.

 

I've always loved how amazing the Shaman crit animation is, and looks even cooler with Dorcas colors.

 

Bartre's palette is already perfect, no need to change that.

 

Offscreen, I threw away both Eliwood and Bartre's devil axes. That game is chaotic enough, damn it!

 

And then we get 2 new units!

 

We have a Lyn Lord, and a...what's that?!

 

Commenting on Hector's stats later, lemme just sink in his class for a moment. This is an unused class. Somebody gave me a fix patch for this game to fix most bugs and glitches that might occur during randomization. Best thing about this patch? The guy was nice enough to make Sellsword a fully playable class. A lot of people theorize that the class is intended to be a female Mercenary, which makes total sense.

 

Now then, Those stats...He could use a little more HP, other than that, he's fine, he's also our first sword user that isn't Rebecca and what stats are on that Iron Sword of his?

 

ABANDON SHIP, AAAAAAAAH!

 

He. Is. Literally. Lyn.

 

Those stats are gorgeous. Time to check out his weapons too. He comes with two.

Well, it's pretty good, but not good enough.

 

A 60 use sword, that just acts like an actual Fire Emblem weapon...I might actually use this.

 

And so, Hector gets into battle, let's see how ugly his palette is...

 

It's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.

 

Seriously, though, holy crap, I was not expecting Hector's palette to come out that awesome.

 

Can I ship Heliwood now.

 

I was also suprised to see the creator of the Fix Patch took the time to actually import this. It's actually an edited version of Eirika's beta sprite, if I recall correctly.

Chapter 12, Part 2

Had Eliwood buy a Handaxe and Steel Axe. The Steel Axe is the perfect weapon for typical Lord characters, because of how it's set up atm, and the Handaxe is a great ranged weapon, even if it has 0 Mt. I'll have Hector go and buy that Steel Sword, and have Marcus go buy the Steel Bow.

 

Finally, Eliwood's Palette is shown, this is honestly a really amazing palette, and I'd have to thank my friend for making it...and then he crits, neat.

 

Oswin gets another crit, I can't wait till I make his palette.

 

Rebecca's new palette. I like it, it's fairly basic, and gets the job done. And with that, Rebecca levels up.

 

WHY DO I EVEN BOTHER. ;~;

 

Bartre crits another enemy, and it 4 EXP away from a level up. Wheeeee.

 

Here's an excuse to show off Marcus's new palette. And with that, that's currently everybody's new palettes.

 

I feed Bartre an attack, and he levels up, finally.

 

WHY CAN'T YOU PEOPLE TAKE AN EXAMPLE FROM BARTRE. This is the first good level up that I've gotten in this entire playthrough.

 

Lowen hitting with 50% is just grand.

 

I've grown to expect this.

 

And with that, Chapter 12 is over, It was fairly abrupt, but it is what it is.

 

Next Time: Holy crap, Mathew's not a theif, like every other time I've tried to random reclass? Yeah, I opned up the next chapter to see if the next units who join the party have broken palettes. They do, I think I'm just going to preemptively edit them.

 

A question, do you guys mind if I skip cutscenes, or should I present funny commentary for those too?

Chapter 13, Part 1

Okay, maybe just one moment:

That class doesn't exist until FE8. :x

 

Chapter Map, as per usual. We have 2 new units as well.

Okay, so maybe the speed might save him? idk. He comes with an Emblem sword, and a Lockpick, for Rebecca to use.

 

Sweet! Another Shaman! Dorcas might end up being replaced by you, though, idk, that HP leaves much to be desired, plus you died when I first opened this chapter, so I need to be cautious. :x She comes with yet another Flux tome and a Vulnerary.

 

Ah, here's what got Serra killed in that initial take.

 

Go get him, tiger!

 

Serra's palette is somewhat confusing to me. The palette editor doesn't know what it wants with her.

Meanwhile, Oswin, Marcus, and Dorcas shall go this way.

 

More crits for Dorcas.

Chapter 13, Part 2

Eliwood takes out the thing that has killing potential towards Mathew.

 

I need to take this boss out ASAP. Marcus, you're on chip damage duty! FFFFFFF, Marcus missed.

 

Rebecca is just ever so slightly out of range from the boss. He has a Steel Lance, which has 3-10 range.

 

A mine?

 

Had everybody back away from the boss, except for Marcus.

 

Chip damage? More like KILL DAMAGE. He crit.

 

Yet another victim for Dorcas.

 

Eliwood almost finishes off this guy. He does level up, though.

 

Yup, this has officially become a re-occurring theme in this LP. Had Hector finish off the bandit, and that's the end of that guy.

 

Bartre Obliterates!

 

Ballista Halberd noooooooooo.

 

So now we got this "Guy", thanks to Mathew talking to him. Chances are, he'll be getting the bench, due to that con. Although, he is a Peg. Knight, which is like, one of my favorite classes.

 

"Hey Guy, I've got a new class for you, called Benchwarmer." Marcus visits the village on the top left side of the world.

 

This is the perfect tool to warm benches, Guy could use it!

 

Serra getting a crit. Honestly, I prefer Male shamans over Female shamans. The crit animations for the Male Shamans are just so much cooler.

 

Rebecca got hit by 2 soldiers, time for her to counter attack.

 

How cute, that enemy doesn't stand a chance.

One more soul for Dorcas to devour before we end this chapter off.

 

Dorcas is probably going to get benched at this point if he keeps this up.

 

Ended up buying some more equipment and ending the chapter off there.

Chapter 13x, Part 1

For going to the top left village in Chapter 13, you gain access to this sidequest.

 

So for some odd reason, the Fix Patch got rid of the fog in this map, meaning that torch isn't going to get any use in this chapter. That said, I'm not going to like this chapter too much. There's a lot of Iron Axe users in this map, and I've already shown how super powerful axes are in this game.

 

There's a Village on the top right, so I want to send some of my units over there.

 

"DORCAS WILL CHOKE THIS BANDIT."

 

Marcus is the definition of "Sniper".

 

A Shaman who crits 50% of the time is the best kind of Shaman.

 

You're just as bad as Dorcas. ;~;

 

I take this time to show Guy's new palette, followed by him missing with an 81%.

Chapter 13x, Part 2

So now you see my biggest complaint with Chapter 13x, the fact that it's a survival chapter. Anyways, on the way to getting where I started....

 

Serra got a good level up this time. Also, had my friend make a new palette for Serra, since the previous one was bad. Looks much nicer, now.

Well, at least it's better than normal.

 

This is where I savestate, since I'll be angry if this plan doesn't work.

 

Having Guy go for the village, due to him being a Pegasus Knight, with Marcus at his Wing. Every else, will have to remain in a group.

 

Dorcas: The Shaman Sniper.

 

Serra: The Other Shaman Sniper

 

The true Sniper finally gains a level. He's gaining Jeigen rank levels, however.

I managed to clear out that entire Map in 5 turns, when the game told me to do it in 7. I'm no pro, but it's still good in my book. :x

Hi not-villain.

 

Eliwood: Sup bro.

Eliwood: How could you possibly know that?

Erik: How's Hector? When did you last see him? How do you communicate? What does his hair smell like?

Erik: I want to challenge you to a Pokemon Battle!

Hector shuffles a bit, and a wild old lady appears!

The plot reason for the preparations screen existing is that Hannah the fortune teller can tell the units to equip things...almost like she's some kind of tactician. Sorry, player, you're not a good tactician unless you're a fortune teller too.

 

Using this on Mathew, he needs it more than anyone else.

 

I re-arranged my equipment.

 

So upon starting the chapter....

Erk, it's a new unit already?!

 

So upon starting this chapter, notice that the map is pretty huge. also, we have a tent over there. For those who haven't played FE, that's a convoy, it can be used to store items.

 

I take this time to show off Mathew's new palette.

 

Did that recruitable unit just die?

Chapter 14, Part 2

So let's try actually saving Erk, this time.

This couldn't possibly backfire horribly, no sir.

And died twice.

Dorcas suddenly stopped getting crits. This is a bad omen.

 

Lowen, baby, keep it up, gurl. Keep critting, and I might forgive your awful growths through out this adventure.

She's pretty okay. Her HP leaves much to be desired, however.

Meanwhile, we approach the castle, and Darin's like "UNLEASH THE KRAKEN OF REINFORCEMENTS."

Mathew the Mattock's got this.

At the Vender, I bought a couple Vulnuraries.

Chapter 14, Part 4

You might get the bench. Idk what to do with you.

 

Generic Theif Growth is generic.

 

You're officially unbenched.

 

I love how Dorcas is actually better than you.

 

I did everything I needed to do, aaaaand, chapter's done.

So we learn that Eliwood's father is, in a nutshell, a damsel in distress that is in the dread isle. He's alive though, so that's cool.

 

And now we're off to save Elbiss.

 

NEXT TIME: HOLY HONUT DOLES, 5 NEW UNITS.

I should also point out something funny. I almost named this run FE7: Chaos Mode, until I realized that there's already an existing Fire Emblem romhack called just that.

 

I should also mention, I peeked into this chapter earlier, to see if everyone's palettes are in order, so no ugly palettes today.

 

Chapter 15, Part 1

Oh boy, this chapter, idk what to say, other than it beats Chapter 14 in terms of bullcrap. This is the point where enemy units start to wield steel weapons. Sure, I'm away from Iron axes now, but now I need to worry about Steel Bows and Steel Swords.

 

So while Eliwood, and Hector are still in Erik's now taken over castle, political talk! I'm not going to show any of this. lmao

 

And then suddenly Marcus is like:

Eliwood: "Why aren't you sniping what needs killing yet."

Well, guys, looks like we're getting a 3rd protagonist...one who's not really important at all, but we must use anyways, because blame game logic. [/rant]

 

"Also, we're out of tacos, and Sain has a Slim Lance."

 

Is that sarcasm, Sain? I can't tell.

 

Super flying Lance Knight...Flor-ri-na!

 

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Florina!

 

I know changing classes ruins canon, but this is just absolutely hilarious.

 

Florina then landed on Hector.

 

Florina was happy about this.

 

And then preparations screen.

 

So, I decided to bench Priscilla and Oswin. Priscilla, because Lowen's got bias points, and Oswin, because he's level 9, and his stats are similar to Mathew's, who's level 2.

 

Time to check out our new units:

 

She's looking pretty dang awesome. Level 3 knight? More like, level OP Knight, holy crap.

 

How does he have less base HP then Florina, her base class is friggin Pegasus Knight.

 

Pir8 8/8 no b8 m8.

 

Slightly different from Kent, no too bad.

 

I'm getting tired of these female mages now, just because Lowen is one, doesn't mean you and Priscilla have to steal her glory, Lyn.

 

Okay, so, first priority, kill all of the Steel users.

 

Florina's Knight palette's looking pretty sweet.

 

Forgot to fix Erk's palette. Will be doing that later.

 

So for the strangest reason, the fix patch not only sets this map to night time, but it also removes the enemy phase music.

 

Well here's the absolute biggest problem with this chapter.

 

There's this guy just waiting to murder Lyn.
