Hello everybody,

I'm still here! Just a quick update on the Archives and Leaderboards pages:

• I changed the rating system (again). I really wanted a method that factored in quality of competition, and I finally have it in the form of a system based off Elo. The ratings are scaled down a lot from before, but the order is actually fairly similar. I'll continue tweaking the algorithm to balance accuracy and responsiveness.
• You can now see contestant ratings in the Archives.
• The notion of "points" is gone. The system seemed unnecessary amid the new rating method.

Good news! I've added a Random Screenshot page. It is exactly what it sounds like.

One piece of feedback I've received is that the suite of SotW webpages is too focused on numbers, statistics, performance, etc. The Random Screenshot page removes all the stats, leaving you with pure graphical goodness. I hope you enjoy it. Please share feedback if you have any to offer.

Just popping my head in to mention that I think it's really cool that you're still keeping this going.  A less dedicated person would have probably forgotten about it and let this gather dust in some corner of the web somewhere, but you've still been quietly putting in the effort to keep it up-to-date.  That's pretty impressive considering how many years it's been going.

I should also show my appreciation, since I've been using this a bunch. Wouldn't be nearly as useful if you didn't keep it running.

 

Just know it does see use and your efforts(/successes) are appreciated!
