Update:
- Lava remake, with animations and cool effects!
- Imported animated shoreline tiles
- Imported 25 overworld palettes
- New dungeon/misc tiles
Upcoming: Basic dungeon sets and more palettes for dungeons, caves and interior.
Quoted for new page. I like what you guys are going for with the lava, but the animation looks like it ends way too abruptly with the bubble bursting. It needs a bit more bleeding time.

Totally agree with you, the animation looks pretty strange almost like it skips something. It need some more frames to smooth out the animation of the bubbling.

Yeah, if you don't fix this trivial problem I'll rate it 0 stars.
But seriously though, I think it's fine the way it is since it works well regardless. Would be cool to see a complete animation, but I wouldn't mind time being spent on completing the tileset.

The gif limited to four frames makes it look very quick. Ingame there are four different combos and each have different delays, so don't worry.

It seems some people can never be happy with anything. There always has to be some sort of repercussion.

As I've said before, I think it looks good overall. I'm the type of person that won't leave a sprite or animation alone until I get pixel perfection, because I like maximum polish in my works. As such, I give corresponding feedback so that other artists could achieve additional polish on theirs. It's up to them whether or not they want to take those additional steps. But I personally wouldn't rest until I get things as smooth and polished as I can personally manage.

It's okay to have opinions. I happen to agree, but I will admit I have not seen the original.

I like the fire animations the most. Are they slashable with your sword?

If you decide to use the Fire "enemy" instead of the damage combo, or if you put a sword trigger on the damage combo.

We are getting closer each day. Update from yesterday:
- Working subscreen, hearts, selecting items
- Enemy weapons
- Made every Item work, plus custom items
- Game icons, extra sprite palettes
- Testing and fixes thanks to Jared!
- Fixed all game bugs that I thought I'd never do in time
- Minor improvements on dungeons
- More fixes!
Upcoming: More enemies, alternative subscreens, Link with shields, bonus screenshot.
The tileset will release on the 25th June, and get an extra update before the 28th. More updates will eventually roll in sometime after the 10th July.
