Well, seeing as how the previous thread died, and I'm in the mood for some Ace Attourney action, I figured "forget it", and am making another thread.

I am prosecutor Nexas. Currently, the victim, Revvy Valso, has been murdered by our suspect, Edun Duet. The cause of death: Strangulation

Revvy Valso is a police woman who was looking through a potential crime involving Edun Duet. This was a case that involved fraud. Edun is a shoe and shoelace repair salesman. It had recently been suspected that his repairs were faulty, and that the man who had recently gotten his shoes fix had gotten them in the same state. It's very clear, that while investigating, Edun strangled Revvy with a shoelace, so that his store would not go out of business. Stupid idea, since surely, the cops would find out about her death...or at least that would have been the case. Studies show that before the body was discovered, it had been missing for 3 days. I have here, the autopsy report.

Autopsy Report

Victim: Revvy Valso

Time of Death: 6/15/14, 4:00 PM-5:00 PM

Cause of Death: Strangled by the neck. Took a couple minutes for the victim to die.

Here, I have the profiles of both the Suspect, and the Victim:

Spoiler

The prosecution would like to call upon its first Witness, Mr.Klop422.

I swear to tell the truth, only the truth, and nothing but the truth.

Now, I'm not sure what I saw, but I saw a shoe repairsman in Edun's shop strangle a woman. What I have forgotten, however, is when exactly the body was found. I was kind of... hung over and drunk for a week after. But, still. Was the body found 3 days after the murder, or on the day of the murder, 3 days after death? Your report is slightly ambiguous.

Allow me to confirm something for the defence.

After the witness saw the police, he immediately called the police. We ere unable to confirm her death until 3 days later, as I had previously mentioned. The only shoerepairman in the neighborhood at the time was none other than the defendant. After all, he works alone.

Either way, the defence may begin their cross examination.

Mr. Klop, you claim to have seen the defendant strangle a woman. However, by your own admission, you were drunk at the time. How can you be sure of what you saw?

I don't know... I think I saw someone strangle someone. And I think it was the shoerepairman. But, I'm not 100% sure. I have to admit, we'd need another witness to be completely sure.

Hello I'm Dr. Zecor Roft, and I was the Coroner for this case. Interestly enough the impressions on the victims neck are of 9 fingers. Which means our assailant must have lost a finger somehow which the defendant has not.

I might be of some help in this case as a witness. I was in the shoe store when the crime took place. I saw Edun take a shoelace and go with that police lady to a corner of the store blocked off by a shelf of shoes. For a couple seconds I saw the shoe guy strangling her with a shoelace, but I also saw the woman trying to fight back. She was trying to loosen his grip on the lace, but she only got one finger off. I ran away from the scene at that point and saw someone calling the police, so I just let them take care of it.

Wha... WHAT!?

(This is bad... if I can't poke a hole in that testimony, we're done for!)

Hold on just a moment. You say you saw the defendant walk into a corner of the store blocked off by a shelf of shoes. However, you then claim to have seen the defendant strangling the victim? How is this possible if there a shelf in your way?

If you didn't know they were there, you probably wouldn't have been able to see them. I noticed the two walk over there and then I peeked through one side of the shelf to see them on the other side.

Except the shoelace that is said to be the murder weapon isn't the actual murder weapon. It is an attempt at home made jewelry. And is in the style of a choker from the 1920s. The victim was in fact choked to death not by a shoelace but by a man with large hands and a missing finger which has been indentified as the middle finger.

Now if you would excuse me I have more corpses to determine the cause of death of at the Morgue. Just came here to update the case files.

That's strange. When the policewoman met the guy, she was in uniform. I don't think officers are allowed to wear accessories while on duty, are they?

This wasn't in the case files at all! When did this piece of evidence come into play?!

Well, Defence, looks like both of us are stumped. The prosecution would like to add the victim's status, which Dr. Zecor Roft has brought up, to the court record.
