Take the Legend of Zelda 1st quest. Each post will make one small tweak to the quest. After many posts, you should get a very different quest.

Rule 1: The post must be a tweak to the original quest, not a tweak to a tweak, and not a tweak that completely cancels out the tweak from another person's post.

Examples: You can't suggest a tileset change when somebody else has already done so. You can however add certain custom graphics to the tweaked set. You can't remove or eliminate something that somebody else has added.

Rule 2: The quest must always remain beatable with every change.

Example: You can't relocate the stepladder somewhere that requires the stepladder to get to it.

I will start...
1. Move the shop that sells the Blue Ring to the southeast graveyard screen. The grave must be activated by the whistle.

Step 2: Update the graphics to a 16-bit Classic Style tileset, that utilizes detail to it's fullest, allowing for Hyrule to be much more detailed and more like an actual world, instead of a desert.

Step 4: Enable True Arrows and Magic Meters, because shooting rupees and magic infinitely never made any sense.

And along with that, make enemies drop arrows and magic. And have shops sell them for the same price as hearts/bombs!

Step 6: The Magic Sword is no longer located in the grave. Instead, it now takes the place of the magic book's location in Level 8.

Step 7: Replace the Ladder with the Roc's Feather and the Raft with the Flippers, thus enabling drowning, walkable water.

Step 8 is to then add few HCP to the game. Be it underneath armos, in caves or in dungeons.

Step 11: The Power Bracelet becomes a rentable item in the northeast shop, and works as it should seen from the GBC Zelda games.

Step 13: The random heart containers found around the overworld are replaced by Heart Pieces, and more are added to the game to compensate.

Step 14: Recreate the entire quest in Game Maker. Rescript all the bosses to not suck.

Recreate the entire quest in Game Maker.

I'll do it when I'm bored enough, and am not working on my own game I'm sure.

Step 15: Add bottomless pits in areas that'll make having the feather more than just a water-jumping combat-maneuver item.
