I downloaded ZC2.11 461 and I noticed that it came with this rom view program, so I opened it up thinking that this would be VERY useful for the quest I am working on. So I tried to open a .smc rom and nothing came up in the tiles but what looked like a static television. How do I use this tool? And just so you know, the rom I tried to open was a Chrono Trigger rom, I think it is called Chrono Trigger (US).smc (or something like that).

I think that it can only read certain file extensions... I can't think of which ones at the moment, though.

I made this same topic. http://www.purezc.co...showtopic=28661
One important thing to note is that only ZSNES savestates work with ROM View, apparently.

Ok, so this is VERY helpful, now is there a way to save the pallet so that I can import it to Zelda Classic?

The palette is saved in the bitmap, I'm assuming. So try grabbing the palette from that.

If that is my only option then that is what I'll do.

Be careful with ROMView - it crashes frequently.

On my vista computer ROMview won't open at all. It kinda flashes before closing in two seconds. Does anyone else have this problem? But on my dad's laptop it will open but on my brother's laptop it will do the same thing as my pc. I've used it a few times and it is a very helpful program.

I acually have a question about rom view, can it be used to rip subscreens?

I think so... but you'll still have to edit it to make it work in ZC.
