No I don't think it does compared to the US one, I mean, Harry's got a smile, like a "I've got a Creme Egg" smile. I don't like the font either, or the fact that it's used in the films. It looks a bit "The Crazy World of Harry Potter" to me.

I know that.
The British cover is really ugly, IMO.
You'e just saying that because you're not used to our covers. I think that the American covers are ugly, and childish, as Spantac put it.
Those are always interesting to see
I know that some of the names had special meanings, like how Hagrid means blood and Albus means white or something like that.
Anyway, I like what you've done, Limzo. I'd try it myself, but I'm not too handy in photoshop =/
Albus Dumbledore is Greek for "White Bumblebee". Rubeus Hagrid is Greek for "Red Blood".
And it's really easy to edit, you don't need super amazing skills, you just need to place a picture in the background and change the colours
Lol, I figured that out myself It's a nice idea and all, I just find it a bit dumb.
I agree with you Spantac. But I think that The Satellite should see all of the UK Children's covers before he just makes mean impulsive comments about them. And if they do seem a bit childish, that's okay, they're the Children's edition. But the UK Childrens Versions are the most popular publication of the book by far.

I'm guessing we're stuck there. I don't have Paint Shop Pro (my granny does though...). Doesn't Jimbob have Photoshop? Couldn't you borrow his computer?

Wait. You'll use my template and make a cover to put on Deviant Art, or you're going to make a US template and put it on Deviant Art? Either way, I'm gonna have to act now so it doesn't look like I'm copying you. Grr, I need a lawyer...

WTF don't give her ideas!
Actually PSP X can read .psd files. I'm looking at the template right now.
EDIT: Limzo, what's the font used for the "and the" bit? PSP only selects it as a vector object, not a text object.
