I'm sorry to hear that. In that case, you'll have to a) just use a MIDI fanfare, or b) re-script the Triforce from scratch (doable but less trivial).

Oh well.  I'll try to find an appropriate MIDI.  Thanks for all your help.

Another idea:

You can make a fake-triforcefragment and force Link to warp to a same-looking-room (wih a script or with sensitive combos) and let him appear on the real triforce peace.

Use the sfx-player script in the new room.

Maybe it will cut the sfx again, but maybe it will work. :)

I ultimately switched it to a shorter .wav that would not be cut off because of its length.

Thanks for the suggestion, Rastael; I may try that in the future.

In regards to the 'plink' sound, I was going to change it and then add a custom sound for messages like someone suggested in this thread. I realize now that the same sound plays when you use a potion or buy something in a shop. Is there any way to change that? If not, I'll just scrap the idea.

Nope, those sounds are all hard-coded. You may be able to replace the sounds with scripting, but otherwise no.

The message sound, potion sound can be changed. The shop sound cannot however

I had a feeling I couldn't change everything that uses that sound effect. I figured out how to do what I want to do, though. I just took the wav I was using for 'link dies' and the wav I want for the 'plink' and edited them into one file. The message sound still plays, but it happens in between the other sounds which works fine.

Ok, I did what you guys said, but the fanfare repeats on a endless loop.

Make sure you uncheck the "Loop" box in the MIDI editor. That oughta fix the problem.
