Did this ever work (I assume you mean setting the destination lower to match the DMap coordinates)? How many combinations have you tried and did they produce different results? Can you shift the DMap area to the left-hand side (so the grey area is just out of sight on the left) without losing screens you have made? If the last idea works, you can just use the absolute coordinates as they will be equal to the DMap coordinates.

Oh wait, nevermind this works. But the doors still don't open in the dungeon.

Sorry if you said this already, but is this a Dungeon/NES Dungeon DMap? Is the level more than 0?
Does this apply to every kind of door (locked/shutter/boss)?
What is supposed to trigger the door opening?

THe trigger for every room is killing some bats and Keese.
