...So I went through my first dungeon and got the Triforce part. I went through the second dungeon and got the second Triforce part... but it didn't show up on my subscreen or Link data, though the first did. I set the dungeon to level 2, but it is an Interior DMap, although the Triforce room is set as an NES dungeon screen. I am using the 2.50 beta with big pieces and 3/6 pieces both on.

What's up?

If you made a custom subscreen, chances are you never set the location for the second Triforce piece. If that isn't the case... I'm not sure

It wasn't the subscreen, he said it didn't show up in Link Data either

You probably just need to make sure that the dungeon's triforce DMap is set to level 2 and not 1/0. If not, maybe try it as level 3?

If the above doesn't work, and if your triforce pattern is like this:
12
34 56
Maybe 12 =1; 34=3; 56=5

Couldn't hurt to try?

check to see if you have all the right rules checked, and unchecked. Check to see if your triforce piece(s) match up with the triforce pieces of the proposed nth quests. If that doesn't help, submit a bug report.

Checking...

DMap level = 2
Pattern =
CODE

       3-7
  2-6  4-8 1-5

This pattern is intentional. I want #1 to be the Triforce of Courage, 2 is Wisdom, and 3 is Power, and 4 is nothing. I suppose I could re-arrange them and change the level numbers, but it would be a nuisance. Do they have to be in the same order?

I changed the DMap type to NES dungeon, and changed a few screens to interior screens with the screen data dialogue. It still doesn't work. The DMap level is 2 and the correct Triforce part is set to 2 and 7.

Any help?

I'm pretty sure this has been more than 12 hours, so...

Can anyone figure out what's wrong?!

I collected the Triforce from level 2 and didn't get anything in my subscreen or in Link data. I am using the big pieces and 3/6 pieces rules. The dungeon is the NES dungeon type.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't mean to triple-post but I really need this fixed!

Edit 2: I tried this:

And it didn't work.

Bummer on my idea.

If you don't mind at all, I'll take a look at the quest and see what you have? But I'm not sure what else to recommend.

Hey everybody! He really sent it to me! CLICK HERE if you want to steal all of his work!!

Just kidding everyone, I'd never do that.

Actually I'm just writing this to say that I had tried several things and he seems to have it all correct, but it just isn't working the way it's supposed to be. I'm not sure if he had any scripts going, but maybe something is conflicting there?

Thanks for (not) stealing my work. What could possibly have gone wrong?

I have 2 scripts; Bombchu and NPC. I put in the Bombchu before the Triforce and the NPC after.

Thanks for trying, though.

Edit: Go ahead and delete your copy. BTW, I'm beta-testing the partial quest at this thread.

So, you did try setting the level number to 3? (or 4?) Since big triforce pieces are on, maybe level number 1 counts for 1 and 2, and level number 3 counts for 3 and 4? Just wondering if you had already tried that or not. icon_razz.gif

Yeah, he had even tried numbering it with other levels as he had mentioned before. I couldn't get it to work with Big Triforce pieces and/or 3/6 Piece Triforce selected. It's just an odd bug with the quest it seems, that's why I had asked if their were scripts involved. I started having problems with 2.10 quests, but that's something I'll be reporting at AGN, maybe.
