Here's another

Let me know what you want added removed or changed. I can expand on the end to make it loop coherently, but only had a bit of time this weekend.

dude, you are awesome at making MIDIs! I very much appreciate your willingness to provide music for me to use. I ask that you work on the second one from this thread as an overworld theme. it would need to be very long and it would need to loop perfectly seamlessly. also, check you PM box, because I am about to send you better descriptions of the other two requests from the first post in this thread. thanks, again, buddy!

if anybody else would like to get in on this, get at me before our plural friend gets everything done "alone." please read the first post carefully. thanks!

edit: I meant to point out that I logged on this morning specifically to check on this thread and bump it if it needed it, as I would like to have the first and third songs included in the quest for the exposition later this month (early versions would be fine for the demo). peteandwally is really coming through!

Another short one

I know it's not a full thing. it takes me a couple of tries to really dig a song and get into it more

Did you mean this one for the overworld? I'll expand it later on if so..

Make sure I'm getting this right
I got carried away with this, but before I go to far, let me know if you want it to be a bit wackier instead.

I am listening to it right now. it is good. have you tried adding it to the quest (password 723) and seeing how it fits? also, it doesn't loop well at all, yet. feel free to get carried away! I feel like I did by listening to it. enchanting. THANKS!

I will work only the looping and tweak it to fit the quest as best I can, I've played through the demo a few times but can't get too far (like to the 5th screen). Even then, I get the feel for it.

really?! I understand that the demo isn't easy, but it isn't exactly hard, either. do you have trouble with many other quests, too? you don't really need to worry about the looping until the middle is filled out. my major request is that when you think it is long enough, make it longer! I know that is asking a lot, but this could be accomplished well by doubling the track... copying the existing parts and changing the end notes of the little riffs or something (there are a couple of weird notes that could be changed in repeated parts that would almost make it feel like it was being played live by actual instruments) would be an easy way to expand the track. actually, that would be great... near the start, you have little riffs, a few of which end in surprising notes... if you would be willing to repeat those parts and change a select few of the weirder ending notes, I think that would be excellent. anyway, it is YOUR song, so feel free to do it how you want to. you have earned your authorship of the overworld theme, so feel free to ignore my suggestions without concern that I will exclude the track. thanks a bunch, buddy! please keep me posted.

new overworld version
Lemme know what you think. I can change/rework whatever. If it's good I'll try the other song we talked about.

oh, man... I'm excited. I haven't listened, yet, but I know it's good! if you are willing to do the boss battle song, PLEASE DO!

edit: alright. I dig it. I have a few simple suggestions. in order for it to loop better, could you fade the sustained chord before the end? also, I think it would be really neat if you copied the whole thing and doubled it up, pasting the copy at the end, so it runs twice as long. then, in the second play through, some of the notes that stand out at the end of riffs -- specifically those at 0:24 and 0:31 -- could be changed so the thing has a bit of surprise to it. do you know what I mean? thank you for putting the effort in!

do you want to be the sole composer for this project? that would mean following through with the boss battle thing in the next two weeks and eventually providing the whooshing song and maybe another one if the need arises. let me know how you would feel about all of that.

do you have any concerns?

I can do all that. I'll try and work on the other songs, but it's totally cool if you use something else or none of my songs at all! This is just fun for me icon_smile.gif I might also send you these awkward robots I made. you might like them.

alright, with your permission, you are THE music guy for this quest. I'm off to edit the first post.
