If someone could make or point me in the direction of same, that would be great.
-play sound effect (player death shriek, as in video)
-screen goes grayscale
-dark band across middle, translucent preferably
-idk if tile scaling is a thing but having tiles or text fade in and enlarge (final size is the normal size)
-play sound effect (it will be maybe 8 seconds long)
-custom player death animation that starts playing immediately, simultaneously with the grayscaling(a series of tiles or a single combo that stops animating on the final frame. Turns translucent and flickers away. A second animation is overlaid for the white particle effect animation tiles/combo)
-screen fades (or dithers, or any transition that isn't a smash cut) to black
-un-fades for respawn after sound effect ends
