Do I have to go there from an upper floor and drop down to light it? 

Yes exactly. But I remember it being a stair that leads there, not a pit.

Yes thanks, though how about the location of the door that opened on F-1 after beating the miniboss?  Finding that door is harder than beating the miniboss.  

 

EDIT:  HAHAHA it was in the room to the left of the stairs to the miniboss.

Okay.  Looking for a key.  Boss key, possibly.  I see a lockblock that needs a boss key, (Or at least looks like it needs one) to the left of the entrance on L-1, and a boss door in the middle of L-2.

I am still in level 1.....I got the lamp by doing a certain maneuver and am told to do the same to get the first key ( to activate the switch) but I'll be darn if I know where to do this....every spot I tested puts doesn't put me where I need to land..  What the heck am I missing?????

So when you fall down a hole, you land on that same spot on the lower floor. Make a mental note of where the key is located on the screen, then find the hole in the same area in the upper room.

The room I fell from to get the lamp, THAT hole is the one closest to where I need to get to the switch....is it in a different room???  Like the room above, because I have not been able to get in that room...No room gives the desired vantage point that I've been in...  I've been trying to get to the switch   Hold the fort...    I AM SUCH AN ASS!!!  Got the key.....sorry

So where is that one last key before the boss, once I have the red candle in Level 1, please?  It's quite elusive.

Explore the upper floor. Having the red candle will allow you to light up more than one torch in the same screen, and open new passages.

Ok, I'm going up against the final boss, but having a bunch of trouble. I seem to have missed the red ring, and I'm pretty sure I checked all the cartographer locations. I'm also missing 1 Heart container.  Hints?

Have you completed all minigames? If so, you're missing a heart container in level 8. There are two. Try fighting the final boss with distance weapons as much as possible.

Is there a level 2 Charge ring for the sword? Also I'm assuming the shield phase of the boss is a timed survival thing. Is that right?

I just finished the quest. I had a ton of fun with it, and for my play style, the puzzles and challenges were just right. I seem to have missed a good amount of things, so I will definitely be looking for the 100%
