In Anvil Studio, how do you change the instruments midsong? Like, a lot of songs have one channel change instrument throughout the song. Tempo?
Whats a "bank" and what can be done with it?

create a separate track using the same channel and set it to a different instrument, copy the parts from the original track you want to the new track and voila, done.
The number of channels is usually restricted to 16~ or some such unless you have a decent soundcard or professional equipment.

Thats... not what I wanted to hear. I want to avoid doing that. Moreover I did the research myself and figured it out.
and I figured out what a "bank" is too.
So my next question is this: How do I make Timidity use seperate sound banks when the Midi Event 00 and/or 20 is called?

I'm not that familiar with Anvil Studio, but being MIDI, so I would think you change instruments by inserting a program change event.

Yea, it took me a while to figure that out.
I was researching MIDI events, and I discovered bank select, which apparently lets me switch between different sound banks in a MIDI file, other than that, however, I have absolutely zero information on it, and I tried experimenting with sound bank changed to no avail. Its really frustrating, because I WANT it to work, and yet, it doesn't.

I appreciate your help, guys, but after a long time(at least 12 hours all together) searching I figured out what I needed to know.
