Hi

I have completed up to Level 7, all the additional dungeons, except the super bomb one and I have yet to complete the Eastern Palace dungeon for the Golden Sword.

I can't 100% recall, but it seems that I peeked at the Eastern Palace dungeon before I headed off to do Level 8 (knowing that the book was going to be a help), I may have had two keys. I know I had the one key to enter 8. Now this is where I am stuck. I can only get so far in 8, I can get up the right side and the lower four rooms to the left of the entrance but that's about it. Yes, I have the red suit, but can't find the book or upgraded boomerang. I have combed through all the old threads here and at Armageddon and can't seem to find any hints to direct me the right way.

Does anyone please have any suggestions?

I'd really hate to be this far into a quest and give it up

Mr. Z isn't quite as active as he used to be at PureZC from what I can tell, and I am not sure who else knows his quest very well, although I am sure there are several who do based on the quest's popularity. You could try sending him a PM at this point considering how many days it has been. Or you might find him in the chat room, as he can often be found there around these hours.

i finished this quest a while ago so i don't remember the details, but i do have a suggestion:

if you peeked into the eastern palace _and_ used a key inside this palace, you may have inadvertently used one of the keys you found in level 8 for this palace. if this is what you did, i suggest you go back to the eastern palace until you find a key or finish the dungeon, in which either case you'll have a 1 key surplus which you could then use for level 8.

Actually I did the opposite, at least I think I did and I can't get further
in either place. For some reason from threads I have combed through,
the item in 8, I need to proceed in the Eastern Palace.

Look for walls to bomb to get the book it's on B1 2th row 3 screens up from the bottom you get there bombing in from the room above , now how to get there thats a different story .
If you misused keys then probably the only way is .......cheating

Thanks for the reply. I guess in a sense I cheated. I went and borrowed another key from the Eastern Palace, finally got the book after lots of searching around *laughs*
