Hey I just got a new laptop and I am running Windows Vista. I am having trouble using ZC version 210.2. Can anyone help me?

The only way I can use any version of vista is with ZC Launcher. To get it go to the ZC Launcher forum here.

I don't have a laptop, I have a vista PC. And whenever I try to open it without ZC Launcher the screen blinks and the program opens and closes really quick.

I managed to get 2.10.2 to open, however, if you ever manage to, the colors may become all messed up. And with the 2.5 builds, fullscreen may do the same. But I got 2.5 build 509 and the 2.11 LI build to work on my Vista PC, so try those and don't use fullscreen, and don't use the biggest window size setting.

Also, I have a question. Because 2.10.2 doesn't seem to work in Vista, if I decide I'm going to try to release any quests in 2.10, I'll have to use the 2.5 "Save As 2.10" feature, but I remember in 2.11, I got bugs with it and the enemies were not what I had set them to. This is fixed in 2.5, right? Because I remember trying it once (although using XP), and no enemies changed.

2.5 isn't out yet, so I don't know. Also, Saving as 2.10 is never reliable. icon_unsettled.gif

ZC is not designed with Vista in mind.

But ZC works just as fine on my vista like it did with XP... I can't see why it won't work for you...

My new computer that I got was Vista. And I haven't had a problem yet with it. And I use it in small, large, full screen. So I guess I am lucky?!? Haven't tryed 2.10.2 though, I have only downloaded the beta 584 thus far.

It is not... It's just like XP! It has a few bugs, but XP had a few (many) when started too!

Vista is horrible.
Thank you for interjecting your well thought-out and fully substantiated post. icon_sweat.gif Seriously, I've heard many people say that Vista is terrible, but not one has given me any reason why.

People have given me reasons why. But they are always just the annoying things that take 2 seconds to disable.
