I have currently obtained yet ANOTHER idea for a game. This time more custom. I started working on a tileset to use with it. Here is what I have so far (of course its gonna get bigger when I get there):

Okay. To make this clear: A gradient is not shading. Horizontal bars are not grass. Try making it look more diversified, and at least a 3rd shade. Also, make at least 4 different grass tiles for each type of grass so it doesn't get too boring.

Do you want some grass tiles from me? I'll gladly make some.

Hopefully this will inspire you to make more realistic grass and trees:

The trees are too complex? Yeah, someone was saying the artist's trees colors were off. But I still admire it.

No. Diagonal lines are not grass either. Try looking at the SD3 grass, or at this example of TotR grass:

I don't know why everyone thinks the grass is so bad. It's unique, and that's a good thing. It just looks like whoever owned the lawn was really obsessive at keeping his lawn perfect.

Well, that would be fine if it was someone's property, but in a forest (which is what the area seems to be, judging by all the trees), it doesn't look natural.

It's fine to me. I personally like that grass. It's grass. What you keep trying to say is grass isn't "grass" to me. Maybe I like the flat green of ALTTP grass. Huh? He had the creativity to not do that, and I commend him for that. What that grass is is flat. Grass that's supposed to be that tall should look like the "Tall Grass" in ZC, partially covering Link. The flat grass he made is perfect, because it doesn't look like t should overlap Link.
