Sabrosa and Paços in the Vila Real district of Portugal... at a much smaller scale, and all on ZQuest

"I'm Lost" Says The NPC
Avataro
I'm way too used to using Classic by now and it was quite refreshing to make something in Pure Remembrance. I still prefer Classic.

Voting for Freddy Firestone Shoelace this month for its design, innovation, and creativity.

I've forgotten how to tie my shoelaces (it's been a long time since I wore shoes with them)
But I'm voting for him Shoelace anyway.

I couldn't vote for Shoelace because of the barrels or whatever they are. the perfect dungeon will have to suffice.
edit: typo made the opposite point.

Nulled since I'm in this month, and it seems I'm getting completely wrecked
I'll admit though, you guys made some really nice maps!

Nulled, but I like this turn out.
Shoelace has a nice, busy looking map. At first it was kind of hard to tell what was going on it parts, but this definitely looks like a unique area. We don't see too many floating islands in ZC, and especially ones with this level of detail. There are some minor perspective issues, but the map over all comes together nicely, and looks alive. Well done.
Eddy's map is also unique. I've never seen power lines, and street lights in ZC before. Do they come on at night, or serve some purpose other than just decoration? My only critique is there should be a tile adjacent to each diagonal segment, cause they are missing one pixel in width on the corners of the tiles. I dunno if that makes sense lol. I know it would be kind of annoying to tile it though.
Joel's island scene is cool too. It feels very desolate and lonely there.
Avataro has a nice forest looking area too. Even if that is a stock palette, I still like the colors a lot.

Sadly they don't come on at night, since I don't plan to have a night section in this quest.
And yes, I noticed the diagonal sections being a bit weird, I may need to fix that.

This could also be fixed by making the diagonal parts only on pixel thick.
And who's this Anthus guy? I don't know why he even enters. His map is so basic, I overlooked it in my first post.

I voted for Avataro. The colours and atmosphere are just amazing. I like the variety and routes you can take. I think that solider and chest placement seems out of place to an otherwise fantastic map. Shoelace and Eddy tie second, both unique maps. I felt Shoelace's was a tad confusing and busy, and Eddy's was a bit too modern -- I can appreciate the modern setting, don't get me wrong. But I prefer medieval maps more.
By the way Joel, looking forward to DayDay 8!
