I was kind of curious how it would look, so I tried sketching one up. Unfortunately, there were two major issues with it.

One: I'm a really bad pixel artist

Two: I used way too many colors (I took colors off a S&K screenshot for reference)

It might look pretty good, as long as you have a much better artist than me doing it. :)

Yeah lol Then again, I'm a pretty bad pixel artist too so I'll probably have to get someone to make a big mushroom. Though this will definitely make the area look different and fresh.

I gave it another try, using the small mushrooms from Oracle of Seasons as a base (not the red version, it doesn't match the perspective of everything else) and sized things with a tree from the same game. I ended up with something like this.

32x32%20Mushroom%20Experiment_zpsyvzisae

It's a handful of different shapes and stuff as I was trying to make it. It should fit with everything else in the GBC tileset, although I'm pretty sure that it cheats just a little bit on color depth. (I only used paint, not ZQuest, while making it, but I made sure to only use colors from a screen rip, so it should match up easily.) What do you think? The colors look a little odd, but the red mushrooms use that shade of green for the stem, so I kept it and added in the darker color from the tree so it had shading.

Hmm, those look a bit too odd for my liking if I'll be honest. I was kind of expecting the kind from Sonic and Knuckles and those look a bit too much like huge rocks with green circles painted on them lol. It does look cool, but it's not really what I was expecting.

I did end up making some big mushrooms myself. They are a bit out of perspective right now, but I'll touch them up later on.
