If anyone is up for battling me at some point or another, my friend code is 2191-8207-6327. Just PM me with your code to let me know so I can add you back. My in-game character is Zoey. Kinda realized I don't have a bunch of people on here as friends on my 3DS. ):

 

I do VGC format and I've done pretty well.  Haven't battled in like 3 months, but if anyone does doubles, I'm up for that.

 

I've been thinking of trying out the VGC format myself. Not really sure where to start as I'm used to singles and I imagine things change quite a bit when you add another Pokemon on both sides. Any tips you can offer or good resources to read up on? I've done some light reading on it, but haven't really jumped in just yet.

Also, you should check out some of Aaron "cybertron" Zheng's Youtube videos, as he gives detailed analysis's of each Pokemon that he uses.

 

Be prepared to have Protect on most of your Pokemon.

You gotta admit one of them was an "experiment". Also my moveset then was kinda shit. I tried to vary it a bit..

Well, right now, I'm working on my Feraligatr, Dragonite, and a few others. Gotta have them ready by next week as my friend wants to borrow my brain for a tournament.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I've been using this little trick I thought of lately. When I breed for IVs, I use the "Marking" feature and mark them based on what IVs are perfect. It has exactly 6 markings, so it has one for each stat. For example, a pokemon marked with a circle, a triangle, and a star would have perfect IVs in HP, Attack, and Special Defense. Try it sometime, it helps.

EDIT: I just got my 6IV Absol. I'm SO happy because I got it within an hour of breeding. This saved me a ton of time because I have to get a team together before Friday. I have two of six so far including my Dragonite.

Since my Pokemon are underleveled as heck and I'm bored with the game, I'm going to restart Y. Any have any Pokemon recommendations? I'm starting with Froakie instead of Chespin this time around. I kind of want to get Skiddo for my team, and give him an Everstone.

 

My old team was Chesnaught, Umbreon, Blastoise, Flygon, the event Blaziken, and Linoone.

 

Edit - I decided I'm going for a Togekiss. Forever searching for a Togepi on Wonder Trade!
