Okay, periodically, I get an error message from Windows, and it goes something like this:

CODE
The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\CSCDLL.dll is not a vaild Windows image.  Please check this against your installation diskette.

It doesn't seem to affect anything at all, it's just kind of annoying when it appears. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

That's rather odd. It's trying to load a DLL as if it were a disk. o_O

Obvious things are to run scans of the VIRUS and SPYWARE kinds, and DENNIS.

... also, if it really says "vaild" instead of "valid" then it's definitely a virus or spyware. icon_razz.gif

Another unfortunate thing you could try is reinstalling Windows it at all possible.

Check if said DLL file exists - if so, move it to another folder and see if that fixes it. (If even more things happen after that, move it back.)

A quick moogle search gives
QUOTE
cscdll.dll is a module belonging to the Microsoft Offline Network Agent

It was there, and I cutted (lol) and pasted to a backup folder in My Documents. Fingers crossed.
