How long does it take for a YouTube video to be uploaded to the site?

And then, after uploading, your video has to be processed. Which takes even longer >_>

I think it's a certain time that the staff of youtube inspect new video's then there accessible for the public..i dont know i dont have an account yet.
There is no way that the staff at youtube could individually watch all of the videos that are uploaded everyday.

Plus, I think the staff DO invidually process videos. First of all, this can be thought according to the help files, plus then there wouldn't even be processing time, or it would add to the uploading time, which means it wouldn't exist.

But how is that possible? YouTube is such a large community... I don't think the employees are paid to sit in front of their computers and watch videos everyday just to make sure they're okay. Maybe processing is just converting the file, done automatically.

I don't know what .MOV and .MPEG are though.
Those are the only files YouTube will accept.
