Happy new year everyone! Let's begin 2024 by reviving Map of the Month with three awesome maps!

Now remember, Map of the Month is currently experimenting with a rotation system. This means next month will have dungeon maps. Please, if you have any dungeons you would like to share, next month would be a good time to show them off! Feel free to submit overworld maps in advance if you prefer that, they will be saved for later or in the event that the rotation system is dropped.

Voted for Abdiel here. The use of different coloured cliffs along with the way he's utilised water makes it really aesthetically pleasing.

TK was a very close second. Love the scale of it, but I can't handle the amount of falling snow graphics over the map. It's noisy, and while the map itself is amazing, the falling snow really detracts from the map as a whole. Would love to see a version without the snow, though.

TheRock's map is alright, but it falls victim to the limited tools that Cambria provides by design.

Thanks Chopper. Yeah, originally I was just going to do one mountain, but I started layering one on top of the other and liked how it kind of looked like layering the top of the body.

I’m excited to have MotM back. As much I enjoy SotW, maps are more my thing. Since I don’t really try to spice up my screens much. Screens are more of me showing off an aesthetic whereas maps I think you see a bit more of my style.

Twilight Knight and it isn't close. Undoubtably when playing the snow effect is atmospherically addative, heavy snowfall is noisy and distracting. I don't mind that he kept that in the screenshot, if anything improves it as there's nice touches in having the lower areas of the mountain having a lighter snow cover.

 

Other two are fine. Knight's sings.
