LOL icon_lol.gif considering that my videos are generally just under four minutes I have a hard time believing
it was shorter to type all that and insert that web link icon_xd.gif .

Well, given that I had to leave in 5 minutes when I started posting, I don't think I'd have had time to watch the video, then comment on it. icon_razz.gif

In Flame Man's stage in MM6 you need to charge-shot the pea-shooters into fire-traversing cloud platforms.

HOW CAN U DO???

Well I'm sure there are those rare exceptions. But Roahm Mythril already did all those house rules plus NOT GETTING HIT ONCE as well. So his videos of the classic series are always impressive.

Only one of those enemies is really a problem, and I can still avoid that one by using the Rush Jet Adapter
(since it's not a boss weapon). Really the rule of thumb for exceptions is that if I absolutely have to use a
special weapon it's as a required tool or the only weakness of a non-skippable enemy. The point is that I'm
not using advanced weaponry to make the games easier.

Don't feel dumb, turns out I was wrong. There is a better way to fight Fire Man, and I put that in the start of my latest video (Wily Stage 1).

Ah yes, that second way is even better. I was barely beating him with Ice Man's weapon. Also, I could never beat the Yellow Devil without save states. That's a lot of repetitive footwork there. I wouldn't have the patience to do that for so long, even when using Elec Man's weapon.

Also, I notice you are getting more coherent in your videos. Still sounds robotic in a sense, but that doesn't really matter. It's very informative for me at least, and fun to watch, which I value many times more. You got a great LP going there. I look forward to the remaining parts, as I am also a big fan of the Megaman games for NES. 2 and 3 are my favorites, by the way.

Thanks, glad to hear I'm improving icon_smile.gif

The Yellow Devil can still take me 10-15 tries before I fall into a rhythm where I can beat him. For this fight I made a save state right outside the boss room, and just kept trying until I beat him in a way that would look good enough to show people how to do it well. I've never made a save state in the middle of a fight, I doubt I could manage to concentrate on the fight after breaking the flow of battle like that.

It took me a while to get the Yellow Devil's pattern. There's so little time to hit his eye and missing results in him forming again and dodging his particles. A few tries later, I can down him without getting destroyed first.

Always preferred MM3 over MM2 for some reason. Both are excellent games in their own regard.

I haven't played the first Mega Man, but if I ever do I'll take these tips into account. icon_razz.gif

MM3 feels a bit more polished engine-wise than MM2. However, MM3 is an incomplete game. It was rushed for production due to MM2's success, so there's a lot of little exploitable glitches, an excuse-ish extention of the game, and no intro. Also, was Protoman supposed to have a mask on when pretending to be Break Man?

MM3 introduced the slide, I love that move. I understand that removing the slide and the charge shot from 9 and 10 allowed them to create a certain level of challenge, but there's no reason why they couldn't let us unlock the option for Mega Man to use them after we beat the game.

God darn it Cukeman! You just made me want to play the original MM games icon_xd.gif.
That said, I played through and actually beaten MM1 on the 3DS Virtual Console (that is, without savestates) as a result of watching your LPs. My complaints about the game almost exactly mirror yours so far, especially about the Yellow Devil and the "platform robots" seen in Iceman's stage.
The order at which I took on the Robot Masters this time was Gutsman -> Cutman -> Elecman -> Iceman -> Fireman -> Bombman, having known their weaknesses (I would have done Gutsman last if it wasn't required to use his weapon to get the Magnet Beam and, as tempting as it is, I didn't want to fight Elecman twice thank you very much). Keep in mind that I also used the Elecbeam glitch to beat it. The Yellow Devil is too unforgiving to fight without it icon_frown.gif.

Which sucks in the MM Anniversary editions for PS2 and Gamecube they removed that glitch so he is harder than ever to put down!

'nother level posted (Wily Stage 2). I normally don't bump the thread for a single level, but I'm still
in shock that I was able to flawlessly beat ElecMan WthSmiley.gif I doubt that will ever happen again.
