Okay, some minor updates for those who are watching and keeping track of the project.
As some of you know, I recently lost the majority of the past year's work on the project, and have had to restart from the Demo file.
Most of the work I lost would probably only take me about six months to regain, given that I still have a map file image from before the loss took place. Given this fact, I decided to start making more fundamental changes to the project as a whole, including functionality. These changes would likely include:
New Trees (Finished)
Updated NPC's (Finished)
New starting point with cutscenes (Finished)
- New Chest Dynamics (Open with A, with sound fx - been wanting to add that for some time)
- Roc's Feather Lvl. 2 (Double Jump)
Probably a new master sword sprite, I didn't much care for the one included with Pure. (Finished)
- Changing the rocks to react to hammer powers, rather than bombs.
I've added the original trees from ALTTP, and have started replacing the smaller ones with them in the overworld. Some areas will still use the old trees, but only for variety and style, and in some cases to preserve screen space for playability.
I wanted to update everyone on my current timetable for this year's end:
November and December is always the busiest time for me, for numerous reasons, and as such, I won't be able to work on this project very much until sometime in January. Rest assured, I'll be back on with more updates after that, and with some luck, I should be able to really get ahead of the previous setback.
I want to thank everyone who has shown interest in this project so far. Even with the setback I had, I've been having a blast watching the maps come to life with some of the best memories I have, feeling like they are new again. This project holds some importance for me on a more personal level, and it's with great joy that I can share that journey with you all, in some fashion.
