We've had a problem with these bugs in my house (mostly in my room). We've tried several different bug sprays and some methods listed on Wikipedia with little to no success of getting rid of them. Do you guys have any suggestions?

I had to use wikipedia to get know this pest and I realized that it's the same that I sometimes see. My mother always said not to harm them for they eat "dirt" and bacteriums... Seems like it's not true. Well, you should find their dwelling nest, since they surely not fully scattered through your house. If you have an old attic that you rarely touch, then that maybe their nest, but I suspect that there is a big cleavage in the base of your house.
For how much time you have this problem? Only recently, or since the house was built?
My grandparents' pest problems come from the rarely touched attic. A swarm of pests dwell there.

We haven't tried an exterminator yet, we're using that as a last resort.

My teacher freaked out when she had them in her classroom. If you find the nest, get rid of whatever it's attached to.

It's true that they eat bacteriums but i'd still get rid of them.
