WELCOME TO THE OBSCURE FIRE EMBLEM THREAD! This is essentially a topic for a challenge run of Fire Emblem that I have been super interested in for quite a while.
Q: What is Random Reclass?
A: It's a challenge run of Fire Emblems 7 (The first game in America.), Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem (Japan Only), and Fire Emblem Awakening. Essentially, the challenge is to play the game, by randomizing every unit's classes, regardless of if they end up the same class or not.
Q: How does one preform a Random Reclass?
A: FE7 and FE8 both have a randomizer which can be found Here. (Note: You can find the roms yourself. >.>)
For Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem, shortly after the game begins, you have the ability to reclass units. Take a random choice generator, and use that to decide the classes of every unit.
Awakening is a bit more difficult, as units are required to be level 10 to reclass, and you have much more limited choices, so here's a rule I like to add to that: "You may not reclass the unit to any other available class. As for the randomizer choices, do the same method as Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem.
Q: I randomize Sacred Stones/FE8, and it's all super mega buggy, what do I do?!
A: The randomizer's creator only recently added Sacred Stones as something available to randomize, once a later version of the program comes out, I'll post that.
So yeah, this topic is to record the highlights of everyone's little adventures in the Random Reclass world, even if this topic makes it nowhere, because of how obscure this challenge run is. ;~;
