I'm guessing/hoping he actually meant the battle in FF3 as that was quite underwhelming IMO, but if he meant Morlach then blarg!

Nah, I meant the original FF3. I realise how that came out, though
(I've still not gotten round to beating Lost Isle. I should get on that.)

Oh boy
FF7, FF9, Yoshi's Island, FF6, OoT, MM, Okami, SM64, Paper Mario, BK, BT, Pokemon (like every champion theme), Super Metroid (bwaaaaahhhaaaaa bwaaahhhhaaaaaa ba ba baaaaaaaaaaa bwaaahhhaaaaa) does pitch bends
anyway lots of great final boss themes all around.

Oh sheet. Forget my earlier post. I found my new absolute favorite boss theme. It's not even that I can headbang to this theme for the rest of my life. It's that it washes over me with an entire sea of emotion, recollection, and recognition of every single experience I've ever had with the character. I truly do think that this is the very essence of what it means to have a piece of music that closes not a chapter, but an entire book of two characters' story arcs.
Obviously, this post will contain spoilers, so I'll keep it all in a tidy little box. This is the final boss theme for Yakuza Kiwami 1.
I'm just blown away by this. The standards for final boss music have been raised higher than I can really even see at this point.
