Some people are just pickier with video games than others. I used to not get any 3rd-party games, but since the DS, I've been broadening my range of games. Some games were potentially good, but came out a little poor (like Freedom Wings for DS), while some 3rd-party games came out pretty good (like Etrian Odyssey*). Also, I have plenty of Turbografx games on the Wii, and plenty more coming.
*This game is NOT for gamers who side with the easy ones. This is a pure hardcore 1st-person RPG that seems to take after the first Final Fantasy game when it comes to character-selecting.

It wasn't fun. That's about it. It's just too linear, tedious, and there's virtually no side quests.

Mm, I suppose more sidequests would have helped a lot. I keep thinking that I'd like to go and turn on my game [which I've already beaten] and walk around for a bit, but there's nothing left for me to do [aside from the cave of ordeals and collecting the rest of the heart containers]. And I don't feel like starting a new game just yet.
But I did think that it was very entertaining. I had a lot of fun playing it.

My favorite video game series is Zelda, obviously. Yeah, not to flame, but it was kind of dumb to ask "What's your favorite video game series?" on a Zelda forum. But anyway, Pokemon is my second favorite with Final Fantasy close behind.

Well, just because it's a Zelda forum it doesn't automatically mean that Zelda is everyone's favorite series here.
It's for fans of Zelda as well, right?

But I like when Hyrule is non-linear, when you can get caught up in exploring new areas. TP's only cool thing was the snowboarding part on the sheet of ice... yeah, that's about it. And maybe Double Clawshots. And the spinner. OK, I'm done.
Also, if it was a selection up there... Shining Force. Yep.
