We should think up more possibilities for the Wii Fit...

Like Fight Night. Use the Wiimote and Nunchuk for punches/blocks, and use the Wii Fit for balance/dodging.

What the...? If you want to be fit, just buy a suscription to a athletics club, or better yet, just jog, work out, ect.

We really shouldn't need a video game to allow us to workout. That's just kinda sad.

Because to many lazy people and me,

Really?!? Nintendo is doing great in my opinion. Look at the titles: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Super Paper Mario, Battleian Wars 2, Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, Mario Party 8, Mario Strikers, Super Mario Galaxy, Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Pokemon Revolution, Wii Play, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, etc.

^Look at the games they are releasing in one year! That is a hell of a lot of games. There is something for everyone. I don't know what you are talking about, but that is a lot more then Gamecube and N64 got in the first year! So Nintendo in my opinion is doing an excellent job.

Well said. We're six months in, and we're already seeing a list of games about to hit the doorstep.

Anyways, again, Nintendo is making a lot of games. If you want more games, I say yell at the third partys! The third partys need to make a lot more decent games. Capcom better port RE5 to the Wii, or I will kill Capcom.

Also true. For 3rd party games, we've already had RE4, Kororinpa, SSX Blur (I'm not a fan of this sort of thing but I can see that it's good), Eledees, Super Monkey Ball, Scarface - these are all at least as good as anything on the other 2 consoles. MySims looks really clever as well.

As for the WiiFit pad, once the family-friendly splat's out of the way, there are hundreds of possibilties:

(Mentioned already in another post): I bet Capcom wished they hadn't rereleased RE4 yet... when the cutscene says sprint, you'd better!
Super Mario Stompathon
Everyone else has already said Tony Hawk etc. skateboarding
Another WarioWare game!

Just hope that 3rd parties use the pads for more inventive uses; a lot of developers are currently using a Wiimote as "hey let's make people wiggle the remote to do stuff" fodder.

I think the Balance Board itself is an ugly and obstructive piece of equipment, I like the concept of WiiFit and of the Balance Board itself. If it really performs as well as they say it does, it could really bring the Wii that much closer to becoming a true virtual reality-capable system. It could pretty much help alleviate the Wii's lack of a second analog stick by being used to map movement (lean forward slightly to walk forward, put more and more of your balance forward to move faster and faster), not to mention the many other gimmicky uses that third-party publishers will inevitable use it for.
