i feel reall dumb for asking this
but my quest i made is on another computer that i no longer can get to
and i want to download my quest but when i do it doesnt work
people have commneted my quest saying to change the text to a .qst but it still doesnt work
can someone please helo me...

Make sure you have the file name correct, and go to your E-Mail. Self-Address an E-Mail on the computer the game is ALREADY ON, and click "Add Attachment." Select your own game, and then E-Mail it to yourself. Then, open up your E-Mail on the computer you WANT the game on, and click "Download Attachment." That should work.

but i cant get to that computer anymore

when i download the file it downloads fine
but when i right click and extract it says something about doesnt support encrypting continue anyway
and then i get like 2 wordfiles
idk really wierd
and i dont use winzip
have you downloaded that file yet?

Hmm... then I don't know the problem. Converting the extension to .qst didn't work?

how do i "convert the extension"?

You right-click it and go to properties, I think, and change the name from ".html" or ".txt" or whatever it is right now to ".qst" .

ok i right clicked it
and theres the name of the quest
(I.E) alks8293847.qst
and thats what the edn looks like
like its already "qst."
and then the type of file it is is text document and says (.txt)
but i cant change that and then it says opens with: Notepad and a button i can press that says change
do i change it to something?

Open the file in Notepad, select Save As, then type the filename of the quest file with the .QST extension WITHIN double quotes.

Example:

"myquest.qst"

i did what you told me then it turned in to a .qst file
then when i try to play it on ZC it says the error thing and it wont work
can you somehow send me a working one of my quest
(i feel really dumb that i cant even get my OWN quest to work)

It appears to be a bug - I just made a test quest in ZQ (both 2.10.2 and b724), renamed it to a TXT, renamed it back to a QST and it messed the header up.

Someone better report it, although they'll probably see it as human error and not fix it.

Hi! where can I get one copy of this troubled quest???
would like to check on this, since some like this happen to me on the past
and some how I've managed to make work
would like to download a copy

go to the quest database
and put in my name as the author
(because it is mine of course)
and its there

I already have - renaming it to a .QST using the double-quotes method simply doesn't work.
