I'm not exactly a new member, but I haven't beaten a fully custom quest (like not based off another game). And I just want to know what quests would be good to play for both the experience of playing one (not to difficult either) and possibly to learn from others about quest design.

Personally I dislike my quest (linnky in my sig) but others liked it a lot, so I really don't know.

If you want something good, but not too long and difficult, and you can learn from it, then... "Link in Cestria" should be the one you try first.

There are many great quests out there, but here's what I recommend you to play..

Link's Birthday
Link in Cestria
WolfStyle DX
Power of Geduina
Search for Elise
Isle of the Wind
Link to Tortuga
Vargen's First Quest Improved
Pure Quest

Have fun. icon_wink.gif

If you enjoy classic styled quests, Link's New Technicolor World and Molka are ways to go.

Uh... Link's Birthday or Link's Birthday Deluxe? Edit: Nevermind, Link's Birthday Deluxe sounds better =P

Hmm, thanks Moonwhisper. =)

"Hero of Dreams" and "Lost Isle" are the two most widely-renound and top-rated quests out there. Both definitely worth a play.

Well it depends. The original is simpler and somewhat easier, while the DX version is much more complex in design, and a little bit higher in difficulty. I would say the original since you want to play an easy, yet enjoyable quest that you can learn from.

Oh. Ok, that sounds good. =)
I've been playing for a while and I'm starting to get some ideas on dungeon design.
