I have my Screen > Guy set to Empty, and I have my Timed Warp set up.
But I don't want the timer to start until the player has removed the
message from the screen. Can this be done?

I don't know, but it might work with "Messages freeze all action". Have you tried that yet? Otherwise, try using the "Message then Warp" script.

"Messages freeze all action" is already turned on.
The warp doesn't happen until the player removes the message,
but the problem is that the timer is going while the message is being read.
EDIT: I bet I can get around this by warping the player to an identical screen (with a timer)
after the message is read.
EDIT 2: lol Avataro, we both came up with the same solution at the same time!

Message freeze all action will not freeze the timer. The Message then Warp script could help. Just use the script to teleport the player to a identical looking screen with the timed warp set up.
