Um. For some reason when I click on the chat link on the main page, it says it connecting to irc.sixlabrats.com. Isn't supposed to be irc.sixlabrats.org?
Cause I try to connect it times out.

Something's not right, because it still is timing out.

Well if WildBill can edit his post, I can too! Huzzah.

Welcome to sixlabrats. We cannot guarantee that our lab rats are fully equipped to fend off vengeful idiots, and I don't want to jinx our uptime, but we do hope that our modern facilities and comfortable furnishing is sufficient. I can assure you that our staff are not evil dictators and they will not unnecessarily interfere with your channels or else I will smite them with my spork.

(Though don't tell Kitreia that, because he probably likes the spork... I'll have to come up with another punishment :/)

Hi Dani, thanks for the welcome and thanks for having us. icon_love.gif I'll do my part in the chat rooms by being civil if it'll help you do your job. ^_^

(I haven't tested out the new server since the move... Trying it now. *crosses fingers*)

I think I discovered the problem. I attempted to connect through Java due to not being on my home computer, and I had the same problem. A few days ago I tried to connect through mIRC using port 7000 and I was unable to connect. When I changed the port back to 6667, it connected without a problem. So I think there is a problem with the use of port 7000, which the java client is using. Someone should pass this on to Wild Bill if I don't get the chance to.

No worries Schwa. If anyone wants vhosts restored from previous networks or any bots (via botserv) created for your channels, let us know. I wouldn't mind some ideas for bot names, there is only a small selection to choose from at the moment.

There's always IRCops in the #help channel if you need assistance. I'm not online much myself due to work, but you can leave me a memo.

Haha, all you need to do is join the chat. The link is on PureZC's home page.

IRC is a little daunting at first if you wish to do more than just sit and chat - like register your nick, create and register channels, and learn how to manage them with certain commands. But if I can do it, anyone can icon_wink.gif

IRC is also a great source of internet drama!

[Edit] Messaged Wild Bill about changing the port to 6667.

I tried to lure Wild Bill out of his BrainBone, but he's too far gone. I'm not sure if any other admins can change the port so java users can connect?

Chii, grab a client like Xchat or mIRC, and connect to irc.sixlabrats.com port 6667 icon_smile.gif

Then join #purezc.
