We've just come off a two week heatwave with degrees above 100F. Also there's been some serious bushfires in Victoria. Like, really serious. Towns wiped out, 180+ people dead, that sort of stuff. The whole country's already raised $6,000,000+ just to help the unfortunate.

Holy cow didn't even think of people on here being from Australia, I always forget there are other people from different countries. Man well I hope you are okay down under and everybody else is okay. I saw that on the news not too long ago, it's a shame about the fires. Good luck mate! icon_wacky.gif

Oh and yeah I live in southern Indiana too and we had bad winds and some rain. Nothing too terrible. The last wind storm was the worst though. We had a lot of tree limbs broken but not completely broken off from the ice storm and I was afraid this new wind storm would knock them completely off and hit my house but thankfully nothing happened. One small limb fell in our yard and that's it! I saw a lot of trash cans flying around though cause today was trash day. Hahaha icon_wink.gif

The wind storm here in southeastern New York is so strong that I can definitely feel the house shaking a bit underneath me. Yesterday was such marvelous weather that I think we sort of had this coming after all.

Major storms yesterday, coupled with a Tornado Watch. Power went out once at about 6, and again after 8.

No power outages this time around just lots and lots of wind some gust up to 60 mph, and some rain. Everything is going okay, no flooding this time around, thank goodness for that. Last time it rained bad I could not get back home due to high river stages flooding the two ways to my house.

Well it wasn't THAT windy down in Connecticut, but there was a wind advisory of some sort going on today. The wind chill tomorrow's apparently going to make it feel like 18 degrees Fahrenheit, from the mid-30s actual temperature.

After getting in the 50s yesterday, today was very crappy. Rain mixed with slushy stuff, all with high winds. Lots of drainage ditches were clogged up, so driving including splashing through some big puddles. But walking with the slush spraying in your face at high speed was more unpleasant. But hey, here I am.

We've had snowstorms, then flooding caused by melting snow, but after that, it's heated up and been pretty nice. It actually got to 65 degrees Fahrenheit the other day, which is a pretty good winter temperature here.

We had a snowstorm that messed up the city, considered how unprepared we are in this part of the country. All the stores ran out of ice scrapers and chains, and for a few days trucks couldn't get across the mountains, so there was a brief gas shortage. There's been little flurries ever since, and occasionally some snow on the ground and streets, and each time everybody's like "ohgodohgodohgod DON'T STIIIICK"...

Yeah, it's not as bad as other places, but we are having a severe winter relative to our area.

We've been getting freezing rain, but nothing much worse than that. We did get a snow day on tuesday because of it, though.

We had lots of wind in Colorado. Wind speeds were dangerous. I swear my friend almost floated away.

I'm rather fortunate, to be honest. I'd rather be praying for jimmyb than me, because I'm a lucky guy who doesn't live where he does. Here's to hoping that he hasn't been burnt to a crisp. icon_confused.gif

However, the police have already caught one man who's been charged with one count of arson, one count of manslaughter, and on an unrelated note, one count of child pornography, and hasn't been allowed to be identified as of today because the public will most likely hunt him down and beat him to death. Already, though, something like $77 million AU has been raised to help the victims of the crisis. To believe it was only a week ago... icon_unsettled.gif
