so I was just thinking, and I came up with a new quest idea, no I'm not saying I'm going to do it, its just an idea for someone who likes a challenge.
Anyone up for making a sequel/prequel to cave story? preferably prequel. like maybe have quote before he was brainwashed. Any ways, like make a good one that leads into what happens when cave story comes in, like how he ends up in the cave, and how the mimigas got where they are. just a thought, hope someone wants to do it, I would kinda like to play one like that.

Uhm... I like non-sidescrollers better than sidescrollers, but a real Cave Story type quest should be sidescroller... I wish I didn't stuck in that wonderful game...

The idea is good... In fact, I couldn't even make a quest without some Cave Story reference and a full Cave Story quest would be great...

Altough, I don't know if a prequel could be as great as the game itself is.

you have a point, but I just got to thinking it might be cool to see like the mimigas being cornered by the robots, and then resorting to the flowers for there survival, then kicking the arse out of the robots, and I also want to see someones idea of how quote and curley ended up where they are.

Why don't do it yourself? I have a mimiga tile I drew for DoR. Of course, you can rip from Cave Story, itself... I think there is a tileset being made (sidescrolller), too.

If you make the quest yourself, you don't have to wonder how Quote turned up there, since you make it up. Also, you don't need to be excited how the cornered mimigas would look like, since you'd make them.

Say, Quote liked to talk very much, this annoyed the other robots, started to hate him and threw him off a gap... and so he shut his mouth from now on for safety...

Cast Chaos = have good ideas, but I'm not all that good with making games, I almost never finish them.
