Welcome to the forums, zombie78. icon_smile.gif You seem to be short on punctuation. I have extra, so please take whatever you need.

As for creating your own tileset, what you need to do is rip tiles into ZQuest, and then recolor them. In order to recolor them, you need to have a set of palettes to color the tiles into. If not, you have to either rip some palettes into ZQuest, or create your own.

Creating a tileset from scratch is a difficult process that requires you to learn ZQuest pretty well to begin with. We can help you with specific tasks that are PART of creating a tileset, but telling you everything needed in order to create a tileset -- all at once -- is a job best left to tutorials.

For starters, please check out this site and see if they have some of what you need.

Zelda Classic University

I haven't seen the whole site yet, but I know they have some good tutorials. AGN might also have some tutorials if you look around a bit.

In the meantime, if you would like a few tips, ask us about specific things you want to learn. I recommend that you first learn how to rip tiles and create combos.

I would recommend that you try out alphadawg's tutorial at http://www.ermock.com/zctutorial/
Which covers the basics of the programme.

And if you're after better looking graphics, it would be easier for you to download a tileset from the database than to rip individual tiles and palettes to make your own.

I'd start with more simple graphics though, they're much easier to use.
