EDIT:OOPS! I meant sprite! Oh well.

How do you make sprites? I know they are just tiles the animate in a series, but i dont know how to make them animate. Also, should I use ZQ, or another program like paint for them?

How do you animate them? I just can't figure it out.

I'm trying to make a sprite of this guy in both these forms, (different boddy armor) but they aren't going well.

i dont really explain stuff good but ill do my best. fist you gotta go to quest>graphics>tiles and make your animations. make them beside each other right to left. then click done and go to a blank tile on the tile page thing on the side of the quest editor and right click it. a screen will pop up. so click the left picture and find your first tile of your animation and double click it. after that youll see a couple of boxes were you can put numbers in. the a.frames are how many frames the animation is. the a.speed is how fast the animation will go(0 being the fastest and 999 being the slowest). the more tiles you use the slower the animation will go and the lower the a.speed number will have to be.after your done click ok and your set.i hope that helped icon_smile.gif

I'll give you a few hints for developing sprites. Do the small stuff first. Arms, legs, heads, torsos, etc. .. Draw them seperately. Animate them as individual bits. Then when you're sure each looks very nice, move them around via the directional keys to match up with other parts, then use the "o" key to layer them on top of each other. If it doesn't look nice, press "u" to undo, and make sure you have a backup beforehand. icon_razz.gif That's exactly how I did my BoA Dragon Troopers. (Damn cool little guys. icon_wink.gif icon_thumbsup.gif )
