Yes, I want to make myself a quest. I'm kind of new, but I've figured out a lot of the elements of the editor. the things I want ideas for are:
-Graphics type to use
-Size
-Difficulty (you want an insanely hard quest, I'll give you one. It's the balancing I have a hard time with.)
-Original things (something you want me to put in it that hasn't really been done)
-Numbers (I mean number of dungeons, shops, items, hearts)
-Theme/Story
-A Title
-other stuff (landforms, dialogue, hot dogs)
Yep. That's pretty much it. Whoever gives me ideas will have mention. I'm at a loss for I nothing to do. lack of creativity.
so. thanks, anyway.
okay, What should I do a quest on?

Well, for a first quest, do something that isn't going to be too difficult for the player, andprobably use something like the Pure tileset, or something similar to use. Pure is one of the easiest to use. I'm not sure about any story or something. That is something I always come up for myself only, because it is what I am interested in. Not sure what your interests are.

Pure most likely. It's fairly easy to use. If you don't want to use it, you can try to use something like the BS set.
-Size
I would suggest a regular 3-5 hour quest.
-Difficulty (you want an insanely hard quest, I'll give you one. It's the balancing I have a hard time with.)
Start by making an easier quest. This is so you can realize how to make an effective hard quest.
-Original things (something you want me to put in it that hasn't really been done)
This is pretty much limited by your imagination. Just think, I'm sure you'll come up with something.
-Numbers (I mean number of dungeons, shops, items, hearts)
Most likely a normal 9 dungeon quest would be good.
-Theme/Story
Maybe you should try to come up with a new enemy. Making a new main enemy would allow you to make a more unusual story.
-A Title
This really needs a story first to decide.

Also, Quests come in many styles. You could do a very in-depth Quest, where you have to follow a set-in-stone path from A to Z and there's a major story to follow; you could do a very loose Quest where the dungeons can be beaten in any order; then of course there's the in-between...
Examples? Okay then... Link's Birthday is more of a set-in-stone, the origional 1st Quest is a loose one, and Ocarina of Dimmensions is in-between.
If you want incentive, try looking around at professional Quests just to see their styles. But remember, when you do your Quest, it is VITAL that you use an origional storyline, or no storyline at all. Some are like that... the latter, I mean. But you don't want a photocopy of an already existing Quest.

okay thanks. Yeah I'll probably use pure, and do a kind of loose quest... But still with some early limitations. I'll probably make up the story as I go along, It's always something I have trouble with.
I'm using the 1.98 editor. I'll probably make an easier quest, but may have a few extra dungeons. Few secrets.
K thanks! (if anybody has anything else feel free to post it!)

there is no such animal as the 198 editor, and if you make an extremely hard quest, few will play it.
