For the present, I just want to say that everything is stupid

 

I as speak multiple times by similar people: In the coming weeks after all the dirty laundry swings in the air, I will have things to say. I wish that both factions would resolve these issues and work together, but at present this seems impossible as none will give a bloody inch. Please all try to cooperate and not destroy this beautiful product. 

 

I expect that coming news will shock many, but at the same time, I respect the work and the dedication that Connor and Emily have done over the past 18 months. 

 

I would like to find a central ground before this becomes all out war and lawfare and find a way to resolve these disputes. FWIW, I wholly approve of allowing questmakers to monetise their games--something that was in my plan circa 2018-- and I was lied to about what you wanted to do... I was essentially told that you wanted to monetise ZC to create a system where you profit by online hosted subscription content. 

 

This model is to what I objected. Seeing your comments of late, it literally looks like my plans from years ago, to attract new people on a model where content creators have an option to monetise their content. Can we not come to the table and resolve this as civilised people?

 

I have no particular desire to lord over you, but if you agree to minor agn oversight, I would instantly approve this and all these disputes would be over. Sorry that you went with James for oversight rather than me, but I would have ratified creator ability to profit on the spot. Just my thoughts, let me know. I want a peaceful resolution rather than lawfare or warfare. 

 

Last I must say, much dirty laundry from the other side will soon drop. IDK if it shall exonerate me or not, but it shall surely demonstrate underhanded and absurd tactics: tactics I am willing to forgive if people agree to work together for a common goal without insane or absurd power plays.

We have already said this, but to be clear: we aren't considering any angle of monetization for quests. At most, our goal is to make it possible to create commercial friendly games in ZC, but as far actually selling stuff ourselves or requiring a percentage of revenue for usage of new assets, we aren't exploring that.

I see that, but this was literally how what you were doing was presented to me. I support not only user level monetisation, but if you are hosting those games, taking a small portion to maintain the costs of the service. In short, I need to sort through the over reactions as your actual plan was not disclosed to me honestly, and I think that those plans are as valid now as they were five years ago, to gain a new userbase.

 

From what I have seen, you are literally finding ways to implement my generic assets plan, and my permissible, hosted monetised/commercial games plan. Right now the issue is the repo, and if you return it to AGN control, you don't need to worry about James' flipping out. It would be easier Connor if I can have a discussion with you on this in private. I understand a lot of the motivations here and now I am caught in the crossfire, and stuff will eventually come out in these battles that is bad for everyone.

Who are you?

Who am I? I'm probably the most moderate and Centrist and reasonable person in this debate. I love it how you and other people were worried that I would nuke the Zelda Classic repo, whereas in reality you went out and nuked entire channels  of years worth of discussion, purely to satisfy your own ego. 

 

The things of which you have accused me of being capable of doing I have never done, but you on a whim, did. So please, don't interject your nonsense into this conversation just to create some sort of social win, when all you do is attack and disparage others. I am possibly the only one fighting for a mutual resolution at this point, which you seem not to care about.

Heck you flat out admitted to doing this thing which was a complete destruction of a channel where users had been involved in collaborations for years. You deleted their data, you deleted their posts and their ideas, out of sheer malice and  for these actions you should be banned from this site for Life.

 

How you are still permitted on this platform is beyond me given that you are willing to take these extreme actions simply to silence people that disagree with you.

And yes, and this capacity I am the Doctor. I am the one willing to mediate and negotiate and stop this insane battle, so that people who actually are working in this can continue working on this, and new people can be involved who share our deal and goal of making a fantastic product.

 

What you are doing is literally simple destruction without any care about what you are trying to accomplish. Destruction for its own sake is evil.

In my tenure I certainly made my share of mistakes, and especially when on medications that affected my brain chemistry I made poor decisions. This does not negate the successes that I had and the accomplishments that I made. In this light I am trying to avoid negating the success and accomplishments of the people that followed in my path and that have succeeded me and that have created a product that is good.

 

On the other hand you simply only want to live in the past, and rag on about issues that do not involve you. For some reason you seek glorification while you were never involved in this project at all, have never contributed even one line to it, I have never even bothered to promote it to external sources.

If you're only goal in this conversation is to be disruptive, then I suggest that the staff at least moderate this and remove your disruptive behavior from this conversation instead of allowing you to be a douche canoe.

 

This is my opinion and not a fact statement from the AGN staff.

You can always determine the difference between my opinion statements and AGN fact statements by the font that I use. I use aerial and opinion statements, and the font Georgia for AGN fat statements and for official announcements.
