Just realized I basically dropped off this site completely for the last month-ish
I'm finally at a point (in the post-game now) where I'm actually looking at information about the game because I feel like there isn't really anything left to spoil anymore. I gotta say, this game feels like it hits a sweet spot that very few games have been able to get even near. Every inch of feels like a player was meant to go through it, but the whole thing feels natural. Normally, game worlds fall into one of two camps; there's the Skyrim camp where the world feels natural but exploring it isn't especially interesting, and there's the Skyward Sword camp where the world basically just feels like an obstacle course. Breath of the Wild totally nails the middle and you can tell that every second of its year-and-a-half delay was put to good use.
Is it just me, or is this game remarkably stingy with actual rupees? I'm reluctant to sell my goods, since I don't know when I might need them.
By far the best way I've discovered to get money is hunting lynels. Their materials all sell for a decent price and there's only one set of armor that uses them for upgrades, and they'll usually drop a full weapon/bow/shield set as well. My map is dotted with stamps denoting the locations of every lynel I've found and whenever I get bored I go bash a few of their skulls in. Only problem is that they're kinda tough, but once you learn the perfect-dodge windows for their attacks they actually become pretty fun to fight.
