I've got a nice run through a fully decked-out modded Skyrim going. Sided with the Empire this time, and did their questline fully to the end. Eh, wish there was more.

Going to start a run of Mark of the Ninja soon. Got it on sale on Steam for $4.99.

I started playing Etrian Odyssey IV, and my first thoughts about this game is that this game is CHALLENGING! If people say JRPGs are just mashing the Attack command, then you haven't played this game yet. You can say this game is the 3DS's Dark Souls. But I say this game is challenging in a good way. It's a game where if you get a Game Over, you are always eager to try again.

I also started playing Etrian Odyssey IV a few days ago. I'm really enjoying it so far! icon_biggrin.gif I picked it up because I heard it was kinda brutal hard. And I see why. XD

Even in this thread, FOE!

Not easy when you don't have the Hadouken or any sub tanks. Also I thought the pet was the easiest part. O_o

Eh, maybe the lack of sub tanks would make it harder. Hadouken just makes it laughably easy instead of just easy.

Well, somehow I managed to make PS1 emulation work after all, so I grabbed Megaman 8, which works very well, and Megaman Legends, which had a few cutscene glitches that I fear might repeat themselves, but otherwise gameplay ran fine. Guess that means I can continue the X series up through 7 too. And I've also finally started Yoshi's Island as well, so I just sorta put myself in a three-game hole right now, which usually never turns out well. icon_heh.gif

TS inspired me to play the Batman Games. I'm about halfway into Batman Arkham Asylum. I'm in the mansion. That's halfway right? I can't wait to play Arkham City when I finish this game.

EDIT: And I'm also getting Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon for $10 less. Yay! icon_biggrin.gif

I forget how long Asylum was and at what point the mansion was, but I do remember it and City are great games. Ya know, other than the fact that Asylum has awful bosses and there's that one segment with Killer Croc that shouldn't exist.

Also, completed Megaman 8. It's an okay game, but those board segments are just terrible. "Jump! Jump!" "Slide! Slide!" And some of the jumps they force you to do often require memory over skill, and sometimes the controls were unresponsive so it was quite the rush of reloading a save state. At least the Bass battle didn't suck like it did in 7. And I'm not gonna touch the voice acting.

Also picked up my half-completed replay of Portal 2 and made my way through the old test chambers. Forgot how fun that game could be, and how awesome some of the Cave Johnson lines were. All that's left now are the Wheatley tests and the final boss. Then I should probably finish my other half-completed runs, like Wind Waker and Halo 4, as well as Megaman Legends and Yoshi's Island.

Remember when I said I was working on Megaman Legends and Yoshi's Island?

Well I beat Megaman & Bass and Megaman 9.

I managed to get an S rank on all the main missions on Ace difficulty as well as take down all aces in Ace Combat 4. I have all the planes available, but I haven't actually bought them all yet since some of them are stupid expensive. And for whatever reason the game doesn't give credits out when you're doing Free Mission. You have to play through the story to get more credits. Ah well. The only thing for me to do is to get an S rank on the trial missions, but I swear you have to be some kind of god at the game to pull that. The time/score requirements for an S rank are crazy. ._.

But with that, I'm now playing through Ace Combat Zero. Currently on mission 16 (I'm using my older save). There's a lot I need to do in this one. I still have plenty of aces to shoot down, plenty of missions to get an S on and I still need to unlock Ace difficulty. >_<

Published by EA and already being bashed online for shitty services (Not just by you) so yeah not surprising at all. That's actually very typical for an EA game.

You got what you paid for.

Even though it doesn't need moment-to-moment updates from Maxis' servers (so lag isn't an issue), it does need to phone home in order to save, even when playing single-player. Maxis insists that requirement isn't simply for DRM purposes, but who're they kidding? Of course it is. Also, EA's Origin client is required and must be installed in order to play.

EA, what are you doing. Nobody wants Origin, especially since they have to sign over permission for EA to look at anything on their computer whenever it's open. And nobody likes always-on DRM, especially people with flaky internet. Furthermore, this whole "You can't play single player because there aren't any servers" fiasco. Haven't they learned anything from Diablo 3? When are people going to realize that forcing everybody online to play single player is a bad idea?

There's also the scenario floating around that a guy asked for a refund since the game doesn't, you know, work at all for him. And they threatened to ban his account for that. Of course, people argue that "Steam would do the same thing, wahhhhh" except no, because they've refunded people before for games that don't work. CoughWarZCough Oh EA, if only there weren't so many people buying your crap. And if only there weren't more people who keep falling into the trap of buying more EA games, claiming then "I'll never do it again!" and then they just rinse and repeat.

I'm playing Fallout 3! /thread relevance

Playing through Majora's Mask right now. I have to admit that I've never played through the entire game by myself--the first time around it was my brother doing most of the playing and I figuring out most of the puzzles. This was years and years ago. I've forgotten most of the events and things, so it's almost like playing a new game. I love it.

I actually lent my N64 copy of the game to a friend in seventh grade and forgot to ask for it back. A month or two ago I drunk messaged the guy and inquired about the game, and he was kind enough to buy me a new copy. Good things come to those who ask. Perhaps I should drunk message more people... but probably not.

Blame EA, Not Maxis.
