Because of the Final Fantasy sale on the Playstation Store, I took the opportunity to buy Final Fantasy VI, even though there's other RPG's on PSP I haven't beat yet, like War of the Lions, Legend of the Dragoon, and Persona 3 Portable. Also, I've been getting back into Dissidia Duodecim. You see, I still haven't beat Feral Chaos yet. I'm grinding my way to the proper equipment and accessories to deal with him.

I haven't played Minecraft in a while. I ought to get back into it and finish my base.

I really want to figure out how to add mods to it. I want to add that mod that adds an RPG-style enemy health meter, Rei's Minimap, Little Maids, Mob Talker, Plenty o' Biomes, Massive Villages, and probably some add-on things like IndustrialCraft, ComputerCraft, Aether, and Twilight Forest. (I can't get FTB to work, so I figured I'd try to put together something similar myself)

Still, I'd rather figure out and get good at vanilla Minecraft before adding all that. Anybody mind sharing what mods they like to use?

-----

More on-topic, I recently found a Code Lyoko game for the DS. I'm going to try it out, since I'm watching the show right now. Anybody know what point in the show it's supposed to take place? (The game is just called "Code Lyoko". It's not Fall of XANA.)

I'm taking a self-imposed exile from Left 4 Dead 2. For a long time.

I'll try to spend that time playing other things. And by "other things" I mean more Arkham City. I just need to 100% Harley Quinn's Revenge... by playing it through for the fourth time and popping a balloon I missed. Then I'll probably start New Game Plus, try to 100% that... The Riddler's Revenge maps can wait a while. Might do them sparingly, but I don't really feel compelled to do all those missions and try to get all those medals for the sake of 100% and an achievement. But I definitely liked the campaign enough I'm ready for New Game Plus already.

Should probably continue Megaman X at some point too...

I had a sudden urge to play Resident Evil 5. Got back into playing it. So far, I'm enjoying it after playing RE: Revelations. What were some elements of the game that the press did not like about?

Been playing Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. Currently on mission 13. The first bit isn't bad, but once you're done your operation quota...That fight. What the hell. Kinda brutal. Just kinda.

Actually, overall I find this one much harder than the other games in the series. It's much shorter, (15 missions as opposed to 18+) but the missions themselves are bigger for the most part. I can't say I care for the story any, but it's not like I play Ace Combat games for their narrative. icon_razz.gif Fun stuff though.

I've also been goofing around in Binding of Isaac. My gosh I'm bad at this game. >_< I've only ever made it to the 4th floor. D: But I'm sure I'll eventually get better. Eventually.

EDIT: Beat Ace Combat 6 a little while ago. Looking on it, it's a lot like the 4th game. Not that it's a bad thing, but I find it kind of amusing.

I've been playing some game about an item shop. Besides that, for some reason I've gone back to Pokemon SoulSilver this last week and really been grinding my way through it. Memories of youth, I suppose. I'm really happy that even with all the new content, it still has the same "soul" as Silver (PUN!).

I'm kind of upset that they took out berry planting. It was nice to be able to pick and grow the types of berries that were the most useful. No idea why they took that out.

Well in terms of games, I finally beat Golden Sun, blind, on my channel. It's a really fun game IMO, and I'm definitely going after the other games. Thanks to MBWChampion and some of my friends for joining that. Had an awesome time. icon_smile.gif

I remember playing that one. Wasn't bad, and I started The Lost Age, I just never got around to finishing it. Don't know why, I just never picked it back up. I'll have to get around to it one of these days. I kind of wish they had found a way to condense the passwords to transfer information between the two a bit more. You want to transfer everything, you better get a notebook ready.

Advice: Get a game link cable and borrow a second system so you can do an automatic data transfer. That password setup will have you punching in somewhere between fifty to seventy-five characters if you choose to keep all of your progress instead of just the basics.

Yeah, when I was recording the bonus episode (which also includes the debug room), I literally went "What?!" when I saw how abyssmal that password was. Good thing I purchased a game link cable off of eBay for 6 bucks.

I know. I'm really disappointed that they removed it from the games. Why should we have to go to the Dream World just to be able to do something in a game like planting berries just a generation before? Just doesn't make sense. They should have kept the Berry Pots from HG/SS (or berry planting spots if Unova had them) to make it more convenient.

You ever play a game where the developers accidentally left a glitch that gives you new or better abilities than what they intended?

I'm playing the DS "Code Lyoko" game, figuring I'd play through it before starting Season 3 (I'm watching the series as well), since the game pulls a lot of the storylines for individual levels from episodes from Seasons 1 and 2. It's not bad, but rather typical for a licensed game for the DS.

Anyways, the battle system is pretty basic. "A" is a normal attack, "X" is an alternate attack, typically long-range. "Y" is a charged attack, and "B" activates a shield. Once you activate the shield, the first attack it blocks is reflected back at the enemy that shot you, so if you're surrounded, you want to time re-activating your shield so that you can reflect enough attacks to give yourself some space. However, as long as you're using the shield, you can't move and attacking deactivates the shield as long as the attack animation plays.

Here's the glitch I found. Apparently, if you hold down the shield button and let it reflect that initial attack, you can continue holding your shield up and use the "X" button to launch long-range attacks. If you get hit, you still play the damaged animation, but you don't take any damage because for some weird reason, the game still thinks you're shielding. Pick a character with decent long-range attacks, such as Odd with his un-blockable energy grenades as his alternate weapon, and you can clear out a room rather effortlessly.

The weirdest thing about the glitch is that the shield is only able to protect you from long-range attacks. It actually works perfectly because you're going to be a fair distance from your enemy anyways and would be using your long-range attacks regardless.
