My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

I am now saddened because this Saturday will not be as awesome as I had hoped it would be.

@DashSim:
My initial reaction was confusion, mostly because I saw the Sonic Rainboom with Guile's Theme.
So I asked _4matsy and Lunaria over IRC about it, and they directed me to episode 1.
And I watched it, and before I knew it, I was on episode 7!

Curious--
Did everyone who's now a fan of the show dismiss it when first hearing of it?
Because, my initial impression when discovering Friendship is Magic was a thing which existed was along the lines of "ADORABLE MAGICAL PONIES, YES AWESOME" and I'm wondering just how uncommon of a reaction this is.
my first thought of this show was "man this so stupid why is every one liking this show!!"
But now look I gave the show a chance now i'm a BIG FAN
@Vaelstrom:
NO!!!WHY!! HOW LONG WILL WE HAVE TO WAIT!!
Ah man how long till the next episode NOW!
*having a panic attack*

I know. That was a rough time for most of the pony fans, and by most of the pony fans I mean myself and all of the staff who had to put up with my whining.

I still say sorry for all that BS i gave you about this show
And OMG I DONT THINK I CAN HANDLE A WEEKEND WITHOUT A NEW EPISODE!!!

Despite how the idea of the show appealed to me, going into it I was pretty skeptical, as I just don't usually like cartoons (yet entered that thread anyway!), but, obviously, it won me over.
Ah, those were the days.

This image was the first thing I saw of the show. It was posted in a western animation thread on another forum. There was a brief discussion of the show (this was before it got really popular) and it prompted me to look up some episodes.

Yeah, I remember that.

I don't really crave the show, so I think I'll be fine.
I did.
I don't like the predictable / exceptionally girly episodes as much. (I didn't finish "Applebuck Season" and didn't like the one with the fashion show as much as others)

And Applebuck Season was a rather weak episode. I much prefer the slice-of-life episodes that expose the backgrounds of the characters, or expose a new side of the characters, for example, Sonic Rainboom, Dog and Pony Show, The Cutie Mark Chronicles, etc; all of those episodes were fairly beloved among fans because they helped us to better understand the characters, and gave them all a context.

You would if you watched the new episode. It's got a WAY better cliffhanger than the pilot did. And it turns into this huge psychological battle, it's amazing.
No. I saw the new episode.
Other than Discord part 2, I don't particularly crave the show.
I've got a lot of Foster's Home to catch up on.

Foster's Home only had 5 seasons. And then, when you get around to Powerpuff Girls, that only had six seasons. Eventually, in your search for Lauren Faust stuff, you will inevitably return to Ponies, and when you do, the show will have (at the rate it's going) surpassed its own potential for perfection.
