Started playing Magnacarta 2. From first impressions, it's like the 360's Grandia III (in a not so good way). The plot is pretty stale from the first hour of playing this. Think of it as a young teenage boy waking up with no memories and is nothing but a pushover. To top it all off, the main character Juto has Emil-syndrome. Not one of the best JYB portrayals. Then you got your typical northern forces waging war with the southern forces. Note that this is a Korean RPG, so you can see how this relates. The combat on the other hand is pretty solid so far. Kinda reminds me a lot of Dark Souls. I need to play a little further to judge the battle system.

Beat Cave Story 3D with the good ending. Who'da thunk the final area would be so much easier with a little extra health? icon_deformed.gif (The max before Hell is 100 as opposed to 50, I believe.) I had something like 75 going in, and had a pretty easy time.

In all, I liked it, though I don't think it's worth the full price of a 3DS game. It's practically the PC game with 3D graphics without much extra added. There were 3 little areas, but they weren't anything particularly special. (One is a new segment in the Egg Corridor, another is a section after beating the Undead Core, and the final is where you get the Prinny Cap.) They did add Time Attack mode for Hell, but there's no Boss Rush mode, Curly mode or anything else present in other iterations of the game (as far as I can tell). I mean, they're not needed to make the game better, but I kinda feel there should have been something extra after you beat the game. ):

But I still had a fun time overall. Like I mentioned, the areas look nice, but the character animations looked kinda not good. I just played it in classic mode where it replaces the character models with their sprite counterparts.

Going back to Super Mario 3D Land to do the special worlds and all that fun stuff. Currently on world 2.

Just beat Arkham City.

... I think. More content loaded up after the credits. Plus there's that "Harley Quinn's Revenge" DLC campaign and some other stuff to play as well, so not quite done with it. I'm pretty pleased with it, well-made game, great story, even though it lacked Asylum's creepiness. Seems there's tons more to experience though, so all the more better. Definitely glad I grabbed it, because it's freakin' fun.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through the first Assassin's Creed. Right now I'm achievement hunting (sue me) so that when I beat the game I can just delete it from my 360 hard drive (yes, I bought it from the Live store (sue me twice)) and move right on to AC2.

Truly amazing game, though. It felt extremely guided in the first few missions but as it goes on it really begins to rely a lot more on AC game instincts you didn't even realize you'd been developing.

Started to play my most anticipated game of 2013: Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch for the PS3. All I can say about this game is HOLY S***! This game will blow you away! So far, it's been a breathtaking experience! I'm currently recording my playthrough for this game and it's something that I will actually enjoy recording. haha.

Just finished the first Zone of the Enders...And now I have to play the next one. >_> Actually, I may go back and get all the trophies for it. It's short enough that a second run(ner) wouldn't be difficult. (That joke was awful and I should feel bad and I blame Evan for it.)

...The game gave me a D overall. Yeah, I'm replaying this to get a better rank.

In all, while really short I really liked it. I kinda wish there were more types of common enemies to fight but eh. It was still a lot of fun. icon_biggrin.gif

I've started up Infinite Undiscovery. Just hit the second Disk... This game seems like it pretty short.

I'm looking around right now for stuff to do in it, I don't want the game to end so soon.

Still playing Ni No Kuni. Man, I think I might rank this game to be in my Top 5 JRPGs of this generation. It's very very enjoyable. As you can tell, I'm having a lot of fun recording gameplay videos of it. Ventus, you might wanna get a PS3. This might be a game that you will absolutely love too! icon_biggrin.gif

On a side note, I finally got my hands on a new copy of Professor Layton and the Curious Village for only $15. From first impressions, I have to say that I can't believe I missed on the series back then. Very addictive and fun. I think I might get the other 4 installments following this once I'm done.

"overpriced". You can pick up a PS3 for 200 dollars, only 70 more than a Wii. And a Wii, let me remind you, is a last-gen system now, so all things considered, the PS3 isn't really that overpriced.

Anyways, I've been meaning to get Ni No Kuni myself, but it's not one of those "I need this now!" type things, so I'm gonna wait a bit and play the other stuff on my huge backlog of games and wait for the price to drop first.

Nintendo Wii is around $160 AUD around here new and PS3 12GB is $200. A PS3 500GB is $299. If you want a previous Slim model PS3 (160GB) then you'll be looking at around $360

Well 200 dollars is pretty overpriced for me, especially since I only payed 120 dollars for my Xbox 360 and I got my Wii for free icon_razz.gif.
So yeah the PS3 is overpriced... I'll most likely wait till the PS4 comes out to get one. by time that happens the ps3 should be pretty cheap... I think?.

Don't crucify me, but after beating Megaman 4, I think it was the best game in the series so far. It just felt more right than the others, though I might have to replay Megaman 3 to validate that claim, since it's been a while. I'll grant though that the music was pretty bad compared to the others, I like can't remember a single tune other than the ones that were remixes from past games.

Went back to Xenoblade. It's all Sepulcher's fault for motivating me to continue playing. Already 40 hours in and I just got the "7th Character" to join the team. Riki is still the best character in the game...hands down. icon_biggrin.gif
