I got through Super Metroid and Metroid II with no problems. And my issue with Zero Mission was just with Speed Boost, not anything with the difficulty. So it's a first to me.

The first two phases that works, but once the mask is off, he just follows me wherever I go. There's nowhere safe I can stand or move to. I can sometimes evade with the Space Jump, but the timing on when you have to press A I can never get right.
It took me forever to learn how to beat his final phase as well. You have to climb a wall, wait for him to get close, jump over him and stand in the middle of the room shooting upwards at him, rinse repeat. If he is gonna corner you then morphball under him and climb the other wall.

However it's been a fair while since I versed him so my strategy might be a little off.

Space Jump: You just have to be descending and still spinning from a Spin Jump and then Jump should register a Space Jump. It's really easy to do repeatedly unlike the awful one in Super Metroid iirc.

Been playing No More Heroes on the Wii. So far, a really fun game. I've just barely beat Destroyman, who was a lot of fun to fight against. Probably my favorite boss so far.

For anybody who hasn't played the game, Destroyman is a professional killer/television actor whose weapon of choice is his superhero outfit rigged with weaponry, all connected to a voice-activated system to work his weapons, resulting in a "hero" who has to literally call out his attacks like an anime character to activate his "superpowers". Knock him down to half of his health, and he starts working the special effects on the set and flies through the air on wires, so you have to find the appropriate control panel and attack it to knock him back down.

After dropping a bunch of money on the XBL store, I find myself with a ton of games to play through; Mega Man 9, Doom II, The Orange Box (after I finish HL1 for PS2)... yeah. I must have dropped $50 between the arcade and standard games.

Screw you, Super Hexagon.

Also Prince of Persia is a good game. No really, it's pretty fun platforming, great combat, and it's pretty funny as well. Enjoying it more and more as I progress, though I also should try to set aside some time for Arkham City one of these days...

I beat Lollipop Chainsaw. Overall, the game is very fun. Those who like No More Heroes or any game made by Suda 51 will most likely like this game. It's a very short game and the combat could be unfair sometimes especially when you have to take no damage to get a high rank.

OVERALL SCORE: 3.75/5

I'm becoming addicted to Saint's Row: The Third. Being my first Saint's Row game, right off the bat, this game completely blows GTA away. The gameplay is fantastic with so many unique weapons and "weird things" to do.

Also, I started playing probably the only good game that uses the Kinect, Child of Eden. I couldn't stop playing it last night. Like SR, this game got me hooked as well. Maybe getting a Kinect wasn't a bad thing after all.

Alright, looks like I'll be able to finish Prince of Persia fairly quickly now, since I've defeated all but one of Ahriman's top minions (unless there are others he hasn't thrown at me yet), then will have healed all fertile grounds. I've stopped for now though, and might not finish it until tomorrow or maybe later tonight. I'm not disappointed that I started with this one, even if the trilogy turns out to be better; it's standalone, so that means I'll have gotten it out of the way, while the other four games in the five-pack are all related to each other. icon_razz.gif

After that, I'll probably try to focus on Arkham City again. Barring that, I'll pick another game in my huge list of "Play these games now you idiot" to get started on as well. We shall see.

Beat Prince of Persia last night. I'm not so sure I'm a fan of the ending. It wasn't completely terrible like AC3's, but it just sorta... cut off. And felt like a slap in the face. Then I found out it was only put there as a hook for the DS sequel. Ubisoft, I am disappoint. But the game was still pretty good, solid 8/10. Would recommend it to anyone. Beautiful, funny, charming, and fun, it's an enjoyable experience start to finish. Well, the ending may leave you with mixed feelings but it's otherwise enjoyable.

Started Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Not very far, just did the first short chapter. Doesn't seem so bad so far. But I swear, if they shoehorn in puzzles a little too forcibly...

So, in other words, you've thrown the game out already.

Yes.

er

No, I'm fully aware that that's how these games go, or at least that's the high probability they'll end up being. I consider this practice/preparation for Layton vs. Ace Attorney, which is supposed to be released in North America by the end of this year. Might as well know the other half of the cast and story, as well as the general play style. It seems fun enough so far, and the text isn't agonizingly slow like in the Ace Attorney series, so that's a plus already.

Just working on improving my weapons on Dark cloud 2, The game has started to get hard... Finally.
But now with that said, I have to engage in grinding. Yay!.

So I haven't been able to get any farther in Fusion. I think it's partially to blame on my DS Lite being old and the A button getting weak. Still haven't gotten past that thing and I'm taking a break from it.

I gave Sticker Star a second playthrough since I missed the whole Wiggler's Diary thing. I noticed some things the second playthrough and I'd like to change my rating for it to be lower than Super Paper Mario.

Shocking as it is, SPM's level designs don't really seem as bad now and SS is quite a bit tedious to play through again. While SPM was really easy and kinda lame due to that, SS' level design where you have to guess a lot of things and have to go backtrack to get the right sticker is a huge time waster. Add in a lot of bosses you have to complete the level to get too, fight a few turns, leave, go get the sticker you think you need and then do the entire level again just for a boss battle. There's usually some type of shortcut to get back to the boss, but still... Soundtrack-wise I think it's a tie. Story-wise SPM would win by a bit. And gameplay would go to SS slightly.

Also, 5-3 in Sticker Star, why does garbage like this exist? I don't remember how I got through before, but I've tried over a dozen times and haven't been able to get through once. I suppose it's just another game I'll be completely stuck on this rate.

At this rate, I should probably give up on games and just go back to working on my quest for awhile..

Space Jump: You just have to be descending and still spinning from a Spin Jump and then Jump should register a Space Jump. It's really easy to do repeatedly unlike the awful one in Super Metroid iirc.

Just make sure you are still in a Spin Jump when descending and Space Jump should work great and reliably. If you press Up (or Down) during a jump you'll exit out of a Spin Jump making it impossible to do the Space Jump!

I forget how you return to Spin Jump mode under such circumstances but I do know that it is possible.
