Second Quest is basically like OoT Master Quest, only with entrances shifted around.

I believe you meant to say this, but I'm being super nit picky! "Second Quest is basically like OoT Master Quest but with the added difference of entrances being shifted around."

I just got the final memory after all the others so I think I've seen every story related cutscene. And wow. I wasn't sure about the voice acting at first but I don't think the scenes could have had the same impact without it, and the more movie-like animations. I really like Zelda in this game, she hasn't had this much of an involved character since the likes of Tetra or Sheik.

Question about getting green tunics through amiibo:

Not that I'm aching to have a green tunic since I've made one, (actually a few) that I use a lot but I wanted to know.

Huh, guess I haven't chimed in yet. Haven't beaten the game yet, but just beat the last main dungeon. I've still got 27 shrines to go, and I probably won't be finishing the game til I've got those.

Overall, I'm really liking the game. Giant open world is amazing, and I'm a fan of the new dungeon structure. So mostly positive. With that said... I really hate the weapon durability. A lot. But it's hardly the game's biggest flaw. I'm really disappointed in the boss fights, which have ranged from "Meh" at best to frustrating, buggy messes that dropped my FPS and actively broke certain mechanics at times. I've yet to find a single boss that was legitimately fun, and I guess I've only got Ganon left at this point. Not exactly going in with high hopes. And then there were some segments that were just... well, pardon my language, but shitty. Not only were they not fun, they were incredibly frustrating, poorly designed, and in some cases even ignored the game's own rules, ignoring certain mechanics entirely. Were the rest of the game less enjoyable, I might have just asked "Why bother?" and stopped.

So overall, I'm fond of the game. But it's got several big problems. It's certainly not my favorite Zelda game (perhaps not even in the top three, still not sure how I'd compare it to MM yet), nor is it my favorite open world game, nor can it even claim favorite Wii U game. It's really good for the most part, but... frustratingly awful at times. Ah well.

I definitely agree about weapon durability, especially with the more OP enemies because it takes an entire weapon to kill just one of them which can be frustrating. But I honestly feel the dungeon bosses are a huge step up from what we've got in previous games (especially Twilight Princess) and I felt genuinely challenged. My favorite one is...

Boss Spoilers

But to each their own. I think the only time I got FPS drops was with several explosions or when I killed a Moblin (it did this twice at least which made a certain script on the database quite amusing). But maybe I suffer less from drops due to my copy being the Switch version. I think my complaints would be weapon durability, an unavoidable event at night that disrupts gameplay repeatedly, rain being more of an annoyance than something desirable and a few more other minor complaints. I think my biggest ones are the horse controls and the motion controls. Both... have genuinely annoyed me not out of challenge but out of just being downright terrible, at least to me. I've avoided horses altogether and I have yet to complete the worst shrine in the game (I'm already calling it being the worst and I've still got a ton of shrines to do).

I'm mostly focusing on finding Koroks (blind) and sidequests. I will do shrines last.

I do not like the Blood Moon cutscene happening every single time there is one. I know it is skippable but god is it annoying having your gameplay interrupted by the cutscene even if the interruption is only momentary. When I first saw the cutscene I thought it was dynamic and showing the overworld areas I had cleared (awesome idea right?) but no, it shows the same exact places every single time so I assume it is a pre-rendered cutscene.

It would've been awesome to be able to experience the Blood Moon without the cutscene, just have the sky flash a bright red suddenly at the peak of the red sky effect with a resounding thunderclap or some such to signify when enemies respawn (or a visible red shockwave moving outwards from the moon?).

Blood Moon happened at the very second I was done killing a Hinox so I could take his orb. The Hinox instantly respawned, along with a large bunch of other enemies he had around him. I got hit, dropped the orb which rolled down somewhere, and then had to do the whole fight over again so I could actually try and figure out where the orb went. :P

If you look nearby, there should be platforms with indents big enough for the orbs. I'm assuming you're near the bottom right of the map?

Yeah, I was looking for something lit up to place the orbs in and never found such a thing. I now assume it is similar to the 7 Gerudo Heroines in that what I'm looking for is not lit up.

Yeah, I also get somewhat frequent FPS drops to the point where it messes with my input from time to time. I've had the glider fail to come out after a jump many times thanks to it. In general, there is about a second delay between me doing something and the game registering it which is really annoying. This is with Wii U version and the Gamepad.(I also noticed a similar delay with TPHD but not with Mario Kart 8.) Why can't we have wired Gamecube controllers for every game?

Also yeah with the Weapon durability. I've had times where I simply Bombed the enemies because I wanted to explore the area and didn't want to break 5+ weapons on them. You can probably break all of your weapons on a single camp provided they have the HP sponges I'm seeing all over the place now.
