Here is where I'm currently stuck. I can't go back to the other screen (or anywhere lol) I haven't been to this screen before yet (was just poking around exploring with the hammer) so I don't know where it's from.

That seems to be quite the conundrum. Cole may actually need to personally help you out of that one, because as far as I see it, you need to restart your game. ><

You can't go any other direction correct?

EDIT: I need to stop posting so late at night, my spelling is terrible when i'm tired.

Just finished, and according to the book, I come in at #3. I'll post the screenie, but let me know if you need any more proof.

Admittedly, I had some visual assistance from eviljbrian on youtube, but that was only for the really tough parts; the rest of it was all me :3

Glad to be of help. Most of the game I found to be quite a challenge and even I had to ask for help and hints.... alot actually.

It was only for parts of Lv 5, Lv 7, finding the path to Lv 8, Sacred Realm (only to find Nayru's Love) and Ganon's Castle (specifically the beginning area and finding the big key above the fiery area, and how to get through round 3 of the Final Battle; invisible blade traps suck, but not as much as Super Like-Likes.... I REALLY don't like Super Like-Likes)

Surprisingly enough, I ended the game with only 1 death; got unlucky Undead Diety movement in the second visit to the Evil Realm... but 2 if you also count when I just clicked retry after dying from Ganon in the very beginning (I wasn't losing much anyway; never start while half-asleep, either; it can be painful...)

Super Like Likes are the least of your worries if you plan on taking the Temple of Cole challenge. You'll be facing crazy landmolas, exploding Zoras, death keese, jinx inducing zombie links, spread-shot windrobes, snakerobes, floating Stalfos, flying ganons, and ropes who appear to have drank 12 cups of coffee while on dark. Oh yes, and an alien Gleeok that just refuses to die. Oh, than there are instant death fireballs and blocks, and three dots that commit suicide.

That temple itself should take you between 3 to 10 hours to beat because it is huge, I would like to bet it is larger than any temple you'll ever find in any Zelda quest ever created (that's probably a debatable assumption). Also it is very very hard. More often than not you'll find yourself sticking along the edge of the screen and use them as safezones. Which I bet most people do, in fact I believe the windrobes are close to impossible to defeat without these safe zones.

But yes, the fun part. I would recommend against the Temple of Cole challenge until you have Nayru's Love, Din's Fire, Golden Sword and Ring, and have at least 300 to 500 rupees on hand. This temple generously has potion shops that provide potions at very cheap prices, but don't let that fool you, you'll be thankful that potions cost 5 to 10 rupees, because you're going to be buying them very often.

If I ever decided to make a hard mode, the only thing I would need to do in this Temple is jack up the prices of potions. Haha!!!

Hmm... sounds like fun. Bet it'll make my death count nearly 50x higher than what it currently is (aka 1); and that's on a good run, too. Any reward for getting through the Temple of Cole other than bragging rights? I dunno... maybe a Black Ring sounds nice, one that gives double defense compared to the Gold Ring, and may explain certain.... things... in SoW2 lol

I'm currently in the temple of cole. NJF Was correct that this temple is not for the weak hearted and you need a lot of dedication and ruppees to be able to get through it. I'm sure i'm close to the end, i caught sight of the cross in the insta kill beam room and it gave me more motivation to get it. What does the cross actually do? I've been curious to find out and really want this covetted item. From 8 direction teleporting wizrobes to flying ganons, the temple of cole is like an entire new game, i love the challenge it represents. I've easily doubled my game time ( and deaths) just by attempting this temple. I reccommend it to anyone looking for a good ol zelda challenge on some insane difficulty.

On another note, nayru's love and those safe spots in walls help immensly so take advantage of it while you can. Just as an idea what you will face inside is a jinx like doppleganger of link. These take 19 hits with the golden sword to kill. They have ~260 hp and they are quite easy to kill if not time consuming. Least they are better than vampire bats.

I do have a question regarding the Temple of Cole though. In the room to the right of the first potion bomb room, where you have to navigate through blocks while avoiding vampire bats, on the farthest right screen when you slash your sword the ground doesn't turn to lava. When you examine the top right corner with the Lens of Truth, a staircase is revealed. I took the time to kill all 3 vampire bats and tried pushing all the blocks but to no avail the staircase didn't appear, even after i shot every weapon into every spot and hammered every tile and bombed the helle out of the place nothing happened. is this a tile glitch or am i missing something?

The stairs are probably leftovers from making the temple, since the areas are based off of the previous dungeons.

The cross reveals invisible enemies. The path to it is invisible, requiring that you step on a tile that has no indication of anything special about it, even with the lens. Check the purple rupee room in the Ganon's Castle section.
