What do I need to kill the boss in level 3? I thought it was regular patra but my sword won't affect it.

Try using the dungeon item against him.

Anyone have any ideas on how to reach the locked block in the ???? area from the two bushes area?  I need it unlocked to get the boss key presumeably.

I give you a hint on how to get to that room to unlock the way to boss key.  There is another timed room you have to look for and fail at beating the timer.

Thanks for the help Flying Fish. I got the boss of level 3 but I wondered if there was more than 1 treasure in there. I found some switches in the Tower but when I step on the nothing happens. Did I miss a treasure in level 3?

The hookshot and heart ring are the dungeon items for lvl 3.  For the switches which floor are you progressing through?

Thanks for telling me!  I found the item and am now going to scour the overworld and dungeons again for the missing heart pieces.  Just 7 more and I'll have everything.  Though I wonder can this dungeon can be done as early as soon as you get the mirror shield or do you need the holy arrows to get it?

The bonus dungeon can be completed after dungeon 5 with the silver arrows

I never got the heart ring.  I guess I have to go back and try to find it. The 3rd floor in the Tower is what I was on. I stepped on some switches but I didn't hear a noise and then I couldn't figure out where to go.

The first one opens the door at the beginning of the floor and the other allows you to get over the pit and enter the left door in the room above the entrance.

Its on the beach south of Level 2-Block Prision. Its like 200 I believe so and also you can buy your old sword for 50 haha!

Where is the bait?

you get bait from beating level 6 to access the Abyssal Mountains.

you also can buy bait for level 8 in a shop in the cave you need to go through to get to level 8 in the dark wastelands.
